- Spent $3,000 for a transmission that failed less than 3 months later. Owner will not stand by warranty. Summary :: On October 29th 2010, I brought my Lexus RX 300 to Your Transmission Shop (YTS) because the transmission in my 2001 Lexus was slipping. The owner of the shop (Kim Davis) informed me my transmission was no longer usable and I had the option to purchase a new transmission which they would install or YTS could rebuild the transmission. After careful consideration, I chose to rebuild my transmission.
I paid $2,886.91 for the rebuilt transmission.
I received my car back on November 2nd , 2010 and was informed of the warranty for my rebuilt transmission:
Warranty Expiration ?? 11/16/2011 or 172,669 Miles
Warranty covers 100% Labor and 50% Parts

Unfortunately, the rebuilt transmission did not function properly less than 10 days later. The transmission never functioned properly and the Lexus was brought back to the repair shop 4 times between 11/2/2010 and 2/2/2011 (~ 3 months). In 2 of the 4 cases, the car broke down on the side of the highway with two small children; ages 3 and 1 were passengers. On 2/2/2011, the transmission was completely broken and the Lexus was no longer drivable. The owner of the shop informed me she would not stand by her warranty. YTS owner gave me the option to purchase a new transmission for $2,500.

The knowledge of this shop is better than any dealership in Atlanta. The Labor Rate is the Best. These Women Rock some wrenches at a fair price. They actually remember your name. You aren't just a dollar sign, you are a real person.

I have a BMW M5, had many codes that popped up, kept it from passing emissions, all my other shops wanted crazy money, and then wanted to play chase my tail with my wallet. They diagnosed it, found the one problem, fixed it in a timely manner, didn't overcharge me labor or parts, and it runs like a top. Excellent techs, excellent service, better than any shop I've been to. A+.

The women that run this place are absolutely amazing! They do everything they can to make sure your experience is pleasant. I have never once walked out of an automotive repair shop with a smile on my face. I was kind of hesitant when my husband first sent me there, but Ithey fixed my car in a timely manner and the cost of the repair was surprisingly affordable. The atmosphere in the air at YTS is calming and you don't feel like everyone there is eyeing your wallet. Even when I was skeptical about what repairs needed to be done to my car, the mechanics took me out into the shop and actually SHOWED me what was wrong. I have never been anywhere where they did such a thing. Kim, the owner, simply said to me, "If it isn't broken, why fix it? And if I fix it, I should at least be able to show you the broken part." I can't tell you how many times I wanted to see my broken or worn parts and just got a hearty guffaw from the jerk in coveralls. They are very accomodating at YTS and they even took me to work, and then picked me up later, when I got off. I LOVE YTS! I recommend this repair shop for anyone and everyone!!
