          .

Maybe I can save someone from going through what I just went through last weekend 11/11/2012.
My husband and I just bought a house. We've been researching what we want to buy for our new home. I've been researching furniture and he's been researching the major appliances.
So. I decided I really liked a sofa and love seat set that I saw on Macys.com and we went to Macy's to look at the sofa at the location in Beaverton, Oregon on Hall Blvd. Right next to Target and behind the actual Washington square mall.
We walked inside of the Macy's Furniture store and right away we were approached by a tall sales woman. She did the usual "What can I help you find today?" Kind of a thing. My husband told her that we were just browsing - because we really wanted to see the sofa before we got a sales person involved. We walked about 15 feet and a second sales person approached us (a male) and asked us the same questions. My husband, again told this man that we were fine, thank you, but we are just looking around right now. We walked another 15 feet and the same tall woman approached us and said "Hi. I want to give you my card" and she held out her business card to my husband. This is the 3rd time we were interrupted in a 5 minute period of time. My husband said "No. We don't want your card, thanks." She looked surprised and said "Oh, are you working with someone else???" I said "No, we're not working with anyone. We just want to look around first". We continued walking and I found the sofa that I'd seen online. It wasn't exactly what I thought it would be but I sat down on it anyway to try it out. A 3rd sales person approached us (another male) and said "Can I help you with something?" My husband said "No, this is the fourth time we've been interrupted and we just want to browse right now." He said this in an exasperated manor. The salesman then YELLED "Well, you don't have to be so rude!!!!!" Salesman #3 full on lost control over himself and yelled at us. Then he walked away toward the front door. We hadn't even made it through a quarter of the store yet. So I told my husband that I wanted to leave. I was shocked by the salesman's horrible treatment. So we approached the front door and when we were about 10 feet from the door my husband said to the salesman "You know, we were going to spend about $6000 or more at Macys when we move into our new house but some other company will get our money now" My husband didnt yell. He just simply stated this fact. The salesman YELLED "Well, have a GREAT day you two!!!" very sarcastically as we left and there were 4 new customers coming in. I wonder how they were treated if they just wanted to "browse". I'll never step foot into another Macy's again for the rest of my life. I will NEVER forget how I was treated my this Macy's representative!
