My family LOVES Uncle Maddios. We eat there every week and especially love the Kids Art Camps on Saturdays. The food is great and we love the variety of choices.

My boyfriend and I have been frequenting Maddio's for a while and I must say that it is currently my favorite pizza place. I like the idea of choosing and seeing your toppings before they put them on. I like the fact that they have wheat crust as an option as well and I also like that their crust is not too thick or bready. The people who fix your food are always friendly and they look like they are happy which is hard to find at a lot of restaurants. Last month I treated my entire (huge) family to Maddio's for my mom's graduation and for such a large crowd, the service was still prompt and friendly, not to mention the pizza was awesome and the price did not break the bank. I love Maddio's!

Pros: great pizza

Cons: honestly can't think of any

When Maddio's opened at Toco Hill in Mama Fu's old space I was intrigued. Started up by a couple of Raving Brands veterans, it is apparent they are trying to take the Moe's build-your-own burrito concept and apply it to pizza.

Let me take you through the Maddio's experience... First you'll traverse down the line and then order at the counter while the pizza builder (for lack of a better term) adds ingredients upon command in front of your eyes. Then you and your pie part ways while it is heated in the conveyor belt oven reminiscent of Cici's pizza (sic) buffet.

So yeah, that was kind of cool...kind of different. I hate to say it, but at this point you've already experienced the highlight of Maddio's. You'll soon find out that the pie you just played such an active role in bringing to life is average at best in the end. The papery crust pretty much cancels out the novelty of the ordering experience for me.

Don't get me wrong, the pizza isn't terrible, but considering that on the small stretch of N. Druid Hills between Lavista and Clairmont, it ranks third best out of three pizzerias (1. Shorty's, 2. Chris' Pizza), I just have a hard time recommending it. Move it down a couple miles to Shamrock Plaza next to Cici's and maybe then we can talk.

Pros: lots of toppings to choose from

Cons: the quality is just not there

The pizza is great, and they're working on improving the trivia night. I think they're southwestern pizza is the most original, though their bbq chicken pizza is very, very good. Locally owned and managed with very polite and helpful staff.

great service and food was the best

Pros: service, clean restaurant, food quality

.

Great food and atmosphere. We have gone a couple of times and really enjoyed it each time.

Outdoor seating is comfortable and the tables were not ignored. The trivia game was miked out so those outside could stay involved.

Pizza is excellent - personal size is still big enough for leftovers. Salads looked good although I haven't tried it yet. Prices are very reasonable.

Would like them to add more selection for the drafts.

Maddio's is a great addition. We have started going on their trivia nights. Love that they offer whole wheat pizza crust and prepare the pizza right in front of you so you can ask them to add more or less of something.

This is a nice addition to the Emory area as it provides a unique twist on pizza. They offer whole wheat pizza crust and other options to make your pizza a little healthier. They're also great to local charities when it comes to planning fundraising events.

I finally tried this place after it moved into the old Mama Fu's location. I was amazed at how many toppings I could choose from while building my own pizza. This place is perfect for groups as everyone doesn't have to decide upon what toppings they want since you can get personalized individual sized pizzas. Loved Maddio's and will be back soon!

Close to Druid Hills, Brookhaven, and Emory this place has much to be admired. From the variety of sauces and toppings to 3 types of crusts including gluten free, wheat, white. The patio is a nice place to hang out while you wait and they bring everything right to you. What I love is that you can get a cheese pizza for around 5 bucks and you get 3 toppings of your choice for just $1 more. They dont break the bank while giving you pizza exactly the way you want it everytime. If you haven't heard of Maddio's pizza in Atlanta yet, you should check them out! Awesome southwest salad and gourmet dressings homemade. Yum!!!

Really friendly. Very helpful with making decisions. Not your typical pizza place. They care about the community as well, which is really nice to see.

New pizza joint in the Toco Hill's plaza. The pizza is pretty good, you choose your dough, sauce and toppings and they bake it fresh for you. One thing I did like was that they had whole wheat crust, which was pretty good.

The pizza's are pretty small and a little overpriced, but the quality is pretty good for a college range/family restaurant.

Maddios looks like the type of place that is focusing at high school groups to become a hang out. That and families. The pizza's are small and a bit over priced in my opinion. The pizza was good for not being authentic italian, but still a bit over priced. It's not expensive, I just feel you don't get much.
