My family and I traveled about 5 hours on 8/14/2013 from South Texas up to the Kerrville, TX to acquire two horses, a mare and her baby colt, and these are for our children. The horse trailer we took had hub buddies to keep them lubed, yet the trailer has seen years of hard work and the extreme heat index contributed to the rear hub seizing. We stopped at Meineke and were told the whole trailer axle had to be replaced. The staff was professional, courteous but overall caring. They understood our situation and took great care of our trailer and us. The work was not their ordinary work, yet they embraced the challenge. We particularly appreciate the assistance by Elliot Delgado, Technician. His professionalism and dedication is in my humble opinion what every Meineke employee should strive to achieve.

I took my truck here today, and received excellent service. The Manager, Hans, was extremely helpful, and customer service oriented. It started out as a bad day, when I had to have my truck towed here, since I couldn't get it to start. But, Hans and his crew took care of me, and quickly diagnosed the issue, and had me back on the road the same afternoon. They gave me a fair rate, and was more than happy with service I received. Thanks again Hans and Meineke!

My 1995 Honda Accord was towed to Meineke Car Care for a repair job Tuesday evening, February 1, 2011. I called on Wednesday, February 2, 2011, morning to inquire about the service needed for repair. TY, the sales clerk, informed me that it was a charge of $187.00 to check if it were the Timing Belt due to the excessive oil noticed. I agreed to the charge. TY later called and confirmed it was in fact the timing belt and stated the cost of repair along with additional charges and repairs in order to repair the car's timing belt completely for a total cost of $827.04. I agreed to the cost and entrusted Meineke to correctly repair my vehicle. I stopped by Meineke later that evening to check on the job being done. I was told by TY that my car would be ready on Thursday, February 3, 2011. Thursday evening I went in to pick up my car since TY never called with an update on my vehicle. When I arrived I noticed my car was still in the bay and up. I inquired if my vehicle was repaired and I was told yes. When I cranked my car, I noticed a bad vibration, I asked TY what was that vibration, and he later disclosed information about my valve and quoted me the cost to fix the faulty valve but ensured my car was repaired and could be taken home. I asked him to write it up and that I would think about allowing them to service the issue. As I drove away I noticed my car was sputtering and vibrating uncontrollably during my 5 mile drive home. Friday, February 4, I took my car to a Honda service center for a second opinion and to inquire about the vibration. Honda's service center stated they would have to run a diagnostic test. The results of the test stated the timing belt was put on incorrectly, not synced with its balancing belt. Saturday, February, 5, 2011, I visited Meineke with my results in hopes for a refund. TY argued with me about my car not having a balancing belt and refused to neither listen nor read the statement from Honda. After speaking with a technician, he later stated he was incorrect and in fact my car does have a balancing belt. I asked for a refund due to faulty service and he refused in fact he was irate and walked out from the service area stating, ""that's why I don't like dealing with raggedy cars."" He later phoned the general manager, and then gave me instructions to come back on Monday, February 7, 2011.

I went in for noise coming from the passenger side whenever I turned the steering wheel. I still had power steering, but the noise was getting louder. Turns out it was the hose right under the power steering pump that was broken and leaked the fluid. They fixed it and everything was great.\n\nHere's the thing, I needed to stick around the lobby because I didn't have anyone to come and pick me up, so I got to see customer service at it's finest.\n\nRafael, the owner, was at the desk that day taking calls and welcoming customers. During my time there, I was very impressed by his knowledge of vehicles and repair issues. Someone would come in saying something specific was happening when they drove, and Rafael would ask them if this other specific thing was happening, they would say yes, and he knew exactly what was wrong with the car.\n\nAnother time, someone came in with some strange noise. They took the car in and it turned out that there was a bent piece that was hitting the wheel. They simply unbent the piece and sent her on her way without a charge. I thought that was great. She promised to come back for repairs in the future.\n\nThere was also a client who had brought in a Land Rover and there was a specific part that was needed, and Rafael made several calls to different places to find the part at the best price.\n\nI saw honesty, and a willingness to bend over backwards for clients.\n\nThis is definitely a good place to take your vehicle in.

Pros: Very knowledgable staff.

Cons: Not in my city

Over $50.00 to replace my headlight. Charged to replace my cab light they left on over night and burned out. Constantly giving me the sales pitch for everything I don't need. Seriously? NEVER AGAIN! Knowledgeable staff, even better salesmen.

JennaLee Ryan was a satisfied, repeat client of mine who brought her car to my shop to diagnose a ""miss."" The ASE certified tech found no malfunction codes stored in the car's computer and good plugs. Because of the low miles and the car's age, we recommended a fuel injection service as a starting point. JennaLee's husband called my manager and tore him a new one for ripping them off with a service that is a bunch of bul***it. JennaLee's car spewed out a load of black exhaust, thus evidencing the amount of deposits in her fuel system being cleaned out by the chemicals. We did tell her about another issue that could be causing the problem.\r\nThe Ryan's took their vehicle that afternoon and I never heard about the problem recurring until I noticed that she had put a ""Stop Payment"" on her check. Now, how am I supposed to fix her problem if she doesn't tell me? Since we had already told her that the service was a starting point, I would have gladly continued to diagnose the problem FOR FREE.\r\nWhy did JennaLee not give me the benefit of the doubt? I just wish she had spoken with me. I really liked her.\r\nNow, in Texas, putting a Stop Payment on a check is theft and the Texas Property Code allows the worker to repossess the asset. It is unfortunate what happened to JennaLee's son and again, I really wish she would have spoken with me first.\r\nOver 80% of my client base are repeat customers. We are the preferred auto repair shop for the city's largest non-military employer. We have a .0004% complaint ratio. Come on now, do you really think I victimize my clients?\r\n\r\nGoogle this: ""Consumer Reports John's Tool Box"" to see what they say about fuel injector cleaning.\r\n\r\nAlso, the Motorist Assurance Program (MAP), a consumer watchdog organization, recommends a fuel system cleaning every 15k-18k miles.\r\n\r\nContact me here: MechanicSanAntonio (dot) com. Thanks, Rafael.

My experience here was a nightmare. My sons new (to him)car was ""skipping"", when i took it to Meineke on Dezavala I was told that the fuel injectors needed cleaning. It sounded hoaky to me...but what do i know? When I got home my husband laughed and said that I was getting robbed. he said that it sounded like the sparkplugs. I had left my son there with the car while it was repaired, and left them a check for 140.00 for the ""repairs"". When I got home my husband told me that it sounded like the sparkplugs, he said that i was b eing scammed.I called Meineke with my concerns and was told that ""well if your husband is a mechanic....whgy dont you have HIM repair the car?"" good point, i guess. The car was done at closing time, and my 16 year old son said that the second he pulled out of their driveway it began skipping again. I called them immediately, but of course, there was no answer. They were closed.UTo make a long story short, i took the car to the Lincoln dealership who immediately identified the problem as a sparkplug coil and repaired it. i looked up ""fuel injector cleaning "" online and found out that it is the biggest scam around...i put a stop payment on the check. When the owner Raphael called to ask me why i put the stop payment I explained. I said that i was more than happy to go to court and let a Judge decide. I never heard from him again\r\nThree months later my sons car was repossesed. He had finals the next dayy and all of his study materials were in the car. i was in Calif. and had to pay $800 for a flight back the next day, as I was the only person that the car would be released to. I was forced to pay Meineke the $140 plus $30 for returned check fee PLUS $350 to the repo company. the owner of the repo company told me after hearing what happened, that they would no longer work with Meineke. Apparently I am not the only victim of Raphaels.I am filing a small claims c ase, and i will get my money back...but I wanted to warn others.
