I've heard a lot of people say that Tonic is trying to be like a New York City club, but I live in New York, and the truth is that Tonic is much better than most places here. This is especially true in the summer when the deck opens up, with a second bar and various other elements are added, like barbequed shrimp, or live music, etc. depending on the night.

Sophisticated, modern industrial look, yet not dark. Multi-level with large outdoor area on roof. Restuarant, bar and nightclub all in one. Eclectic menu divided into small and large plates describing the expertly prepared fare. Good wine list, and desert menu. Friday's the upper floor is a nightclub and the lower floor is dining. We went Saturday and the upper was dining, with a wedding reception out on the roof. Service was helpful and friendly. Food and wine were good, desert (Creme Brulee) was burnt. Good place to be seen or bring a date.
