I purchased a living social deal in February that stated it expired Feb 2013. I just called and was told that they closed Oct 14 and will not open again until May 2nd. At which point the deal will be expired but I can use the paid value - so in essence I get no deal and am locked into paying the full price if I decide to jump with the company. The deal in itself never stated that the company would close in October and the deal would expire in October. Capital City said that they acknowledged that the deal should have stated it expired in October. I feel that this is fraudulent as they did not make sure the deal stated the correct expiration date (they have had since February to make any corrections as I am sure they have seen many deals for jumps taken this summary) - had they communicated the change I would have used the deal by Oct 14th. They say I can use the paid value, but that gets me absolutely nothing at this location as it costs double to skydive. For as shady as they are being with this deal offer, I doubt I will actually pay the additional amount to jump as this makes me believe they also cut corners in safety equipment and people that they hire.

I have to say a lot but before reading on.. this was the best day of my life.

Reading reviews before hand I was a bit nervous because not that many people had good things to say about this place. But upon going to capital city and after the jump, this place was AWESOME. There were approximately 15 people there when we arrived at 12:30, Monday September 3rd (Labor Day) and we had to wait our turn. It took 2 hours but the earlier you arrive the sooner you ll get in before everyone else. We were the last in our time group to arrive so we had to wait. We watched everyone jump and it was so exciting seeing everyone s face once they hit the ground. Every one there had an absolute blast and wanted to go up again.

The instructors were awesome; talkative, funny and so free spirited that they made you feel great even without talking - their demeanor made you feel much more comfortable. They do a 60 second class just to tell you how to jump out of the plane and how to land. Simple and easy. Someone mentioned in a review that the equipment is just laying around.. you have to take into account that people are diving all day long and there is no purpose to put the equipment away everytime when it will just be taken back out in 10 minutes.

You can watch the guy wrap the parachute, you can ask them any question you want to make yourself feel comfortable. I m a stressed out person and I LOVED THIS SO MUCH! I would love to come back but would also love to try new locations. View was awesome, pilot was great, instructors were welcoming, funny and happy.

I would rate this 6 stars if I could. You ll love it if you come here :) The deposit is only $6 and they take 4 people up at once: 2 instructors, 2 divers. When I called they said they always go up in groups unless asked to do with just yourself & the instructor. Just clearing things up from the below reviews.

Yes I can agree it did seem "unprofessional". But you have to think of it in a way as a bunch of free spirited, young, crazy guys that love to take people on their first jump.

P.S. My dads instructor introduced himself. His name was Keith and he was awesome - talked to us the whole way up and made me feel comfortable.

When I came out my husband went in and to break the awkward silence I started talking to one of the boys and told him how I never thought I would be doing this and was scared, his response? Then why did you come? Rude much? The instructor came in and started rummaging through a jam packed tiny closet and yanking out the safety harnesses.... I guess I just assumed the things that are there to save my life would be stored differently. The out he went without a hello or goodbye. The guy running the register finally came out and we started asking about the instructors and he said there was only one and that we would have to go up separate, they only do groups on weekends.... (This was not told to us nor is it posted ANYWHERE on their website or in the tiny shack.) This is NOT what I wanted to do so I told the guy we wanted to cancel. He said we could reschedule but either way we would lose our 106.00 deposits. This was not an option for us because my husband leaves for Afghanistan the next day. I asked to speak to a manager (I had to call a number 3 times before getting through to him) He just said it??s policy... no refunds and he doesn??t know why it even matters that we can??t jump together... well sir it matters because were doing this together... not alone. I would like to have my husband share as much of the experience with me as possible. He said it wont happen but he will try to talk to the owner. I asked for his number and he said I couldn??t have it. He gave me his e-mail though so I will be sending one soon. Oh and there are no suits, helmets, or training... This was honestly the worst experience I could have imagined next to the parachute not opening....

Bought this as a living social deal when they offered it in March 2011, knowing full well that i wanted to jump in October, during the fall to experience the "fall colors". I have jumped one time previously 7 years ago and also jumped in the fall. My friend and I had scheduled our jump for October 1st, unfortunately on the way there, they said it was too windy to jump and they had to postpone us for another date. However the only date they had available was October 14th at 4:30 or 6:30 pm or on Sunday October 16th. Since I was leaving for vacation on the 16th, that date wasn't possible, so we scheduled for October 14th. Again, the weather decided not to cooperate and I just got a phone call cancelling our jump AGAIN - which I understand, much better to be safe than sorry, but now here we stand. They have no more jumps available this season and the Living Social deal expires in March. Their season doesn't begin again until April, so clearly it will be expired by then. To them, they didn't care and I am now out my money, they said it was my fault I waited so long to use it (Umm it was still in the allotted time and I never once had any intention of usine it before when I initially made my appointment). To me that is just shady business, how can you hold it against someone when it was the weather that prevented us from jumping twice! It's not like we just let it expire and didn't use it. In the least, they could've extended of expiration date a few months so we would have a chance to go next season. Never go to this place, I have been to Skyhawks and several of my friends have done Tecumseh and even Midwest Freefall, I will for sure be going to one of those places, rather than a business that is shady and just wants to take your money. I'm honestly even wondering at this point if they did cancel the jumps or this was their way to do this...
