Was surprised by the negative reviews. Also curious that they all send you to Kroger..... The customer service I have received has always been great! I've never had to wait long to check out. If the lines start getting long seems like someone always opens another one to help out. The only thing I think they may need to do is hire some extra people to help with bagging. There have been a couple times that one person was running back and forth between 2 or 3 lanes. But, as far as customer service, I've even called wondering if they carried a certain product and they went and found it and held it at customer service for my husband to pick up. I love having this great store so close by!
Would shop Food Lion more if the customer service was better, especially the customer service desk. If they make a mistake on your receipt, the customer service desk treats you like it's your fault. They also don't want to put your bags in your buggy, then they get mixed up with the next customer's groceries if you don't move quick enough. I'm sticking to Kroger until they get it together.

I will never return to shop at this store again. I just experienced the worst customer service I've seen in a while. Cashier Louise and Manager Sandra were extremely uncaring and seemed to be bothered when THEIR telecheck system declined my check because the amount was over $200.00. They did not apologize. They did not smile. They did not work to find a solution. They did not help me when I had my two year old child and a cart full of almost $300.00 of groceries. I had to wait in line TWICE. Have every item scanned TWICE. Then unbag and bag everything TWICE. By the time I left the store I had no groceries becuase again their telecheck system would not accept a check of such a great amount. They refused to hold my groceries so I could go home and retrieve my forgotten wallet and return to pay for them. I left sweating from so much work and in tears from the utter embarrassment and lack of care the Food Lion staff put me through. If you are in the Dawsonville area I recomend you shop for groceries at the Kroger loacated off of 400. Their customer service skills are impecable. They enjoy what they do and they care for people and their grocery needs.
It is unfortunate that in the present difficult economy we as a country find ourselves in that there exist working Americans who do not prize the jobs they do have and respect the industry in which they work. In food/grocery services it is imperative that employees demonstrate genuine care and sincere earnest to help its customers they see day to day, face to face.
