I love this place! They have good food and good drinks. The prices are reasonable. And the music is great. Go with friends and just sit back and listen. KC is the home of many great jazz musicians and The Phoenix continues the tradition. You will definitely not be disappointed.

Phoenix is the Best

jazz venue in the city. And the food and service are a plus. A very good menu and great servers. The manager has hired some beautiful talent (too bad so many are inelegantly festooned with tattoos they will regret in the near future.
The place is packed on weekend nights with jazz afficiandos.
Pros: Great Jazz, good food, good service
Cons: crowded, smoky

Real Piano Bar

The Phoenix could be the only real Piano Bar left in KC. Lunch is better than dinner - get the Phoenix Special (hot sandwich). Live music every night is fun for happy hour but can be loud. Small and crowded during the week. Watch out for those downtown parking meters!
