.

I have had many tattoos done at different shops in SF. This started off bad and got worse. First, I had an appointment scheduled, I show up and the shop was closed. I waited, I called, got the machine. No one called me back. I waited outside the shop for over an hour as I wanted to get started on the tattoo. Later, the "tattoo artist" who did the work said that I was mistaken about the appointment time. This is SO NOT TRUE. I wrote it down and was on time. He was not. ALSO this was a cover up. I had a few ideas, every one of them was shot down by the "artist". I say: "Can you do this?" He says: "No", Can we try this? "No". Of course hind sight is 20-20, BUT as soon as an "artist" tells you "no it can't be done" you should realize they have no imagination and get out of there BEFORE they touch you with any ink. I asked for a cover up of a smaller tattoo. The work I got was horrible. I had heard good things, looked through his flash and expected a lot better from him. He seemed lazy and totally uninterested while doing the work. When I would point out something, stating I was not liking where it was going, he said he knew what he was doing, it will all work out. The end job looked like a dark, blob of ink. You can't see any details, you can't tell where one line starts and another one ends. The shading is BAD. I have never had a bad experience with a tattoo shop or artist before this. I hoped time would pass and I would like it better. Didn't happen. I went back to express my feelings and to see if he could "fix" a few things. He straight up said "my opinion as an artist; the tattoo is fine" AS A PAYING Customer, you should try to make the person YOU INKED happy. I experienced major attitude and got the worst customer service ever. I have gotten inked many times, always had great experience with the artists and with the work they do. I went in with great expectations, came out with a permanent reminder of this whole horrible experience.
