I arrived at Beleza 5 minutes before it open and was told to wait outside by the Bartender. Although their doors were open, and there were others (non employees) standing inside talking, laughing and having a jolly old time. No problem, I understand an establishments hours.
As I'm waiting outside one of the Beleza employees came outside and got me in a very apologetic manner and asked me to have a seat anywhere I'd like in the location.
Once I was seated (4 minutes later during serving hours). I had to walk up and asked for my order to be taken. And then I had to walk up for a 2nd time and asked to place my dessert order. I had to get the waitress's attention to pay.

I had the Shrimp Moqueca, and a dessert. The Shrimp Moqueca was good, but the dessert was not so hot.

I give the guy who came out and got me off the sidewalk 5 stars for doing his part for customer service.

But that one guy's efforts didn't over ride my total experience with Beleza. It's no way I will go back there. There are other restaurants with in walking distance (of Beleza) with better food, lower prices and customer oriented employees.

After an evening of groundbreaking performances by the Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre, my guests and I decided to dine out at a nearby restaurant, of course, most of the restaurant closed at 11pm, next choice a lounge/bar, we decided on ?BELEZA? (means Beauty) on Juniper in Midtown. BELEZA Restaurant & Lounge is a trendy hotspot in Midtown known for it?s Brazilian flair small plates, creative cocktails, incorporating local and organic ingredients. As we entered the door, we were greeted by a friendly host, who escorted us quickly to our table. Bossa Nova, global beats filled the air, as we swayed back n forth in our plush, comfortable chairs. It?s a really cute, well designed..a bit small, however, cozy place to hang out with friends, grab a drink, a quick bite before or after the theatre. My guests and I, were starved, we decided on the same dish, Moqueca(Bahian Seafood stew, organic coconut milk, organic extra virgin olive oil, Mologueta peppers, cilantro, cashews) it was very good. To quench our thirst, we decided on a brazilian natural soda(Elderflower with lemon). I must admit, I visited Beleza on Friday also, where I devoured their Acai Sorbet topped with granola, fresh blueberries, and bananas. If you dig creative cocktails, small plates, funky entertainment on the weekend, Beleza is the place to be! Its sister restaurant is ?Cuerno? which is next door, it features Flamenco dancing on Sunday and authentic Spanish tapas. Whatever you decide, you?ll enjoy every moment, minute, hour.

Had a great time here. Beleza has a fantastic cocktail list unlike anything else you will find in the city with fresh, exotic ingredients. Very hip atmosphere, excellent tapas and deserts rounded out a fantastic evening. Great place to go if you are ready to break out of the mold of your dining routine.

Visited Beleza for dinner the week before Christmas--we were looking forward to trying this style of Brazilian food. Apparently the chef was on Christmas vacation and we were told that the food would be coming from Cuerno, a sister restaurant, next door. We've eaten at Cuerno a couple of times and like it, but we don't typically go to a restaurant to eat the food from next door. We were disappointed that Beleza didn't inform us about the situation when we made our reservation a few days beforehand (and are surprised that only one person is able to prepare the food at this place). The service was decent, but the ambiance was very lounge-like with loud club music playing. The food may be great, but based on our experience and the overall atmosphere, we won't be back to try it.

First thing I want to say is that I have massive respect for a restaurant that serves all organic and vegan friendly food. They have a wide range of choices to satisfy any palette. The food presentation is beautiful and the restaurant's atmosphere: classy yet comfortable. A great date place. The pricing is definitely reasonable considering the quality of food.

I'm looking forward to my next trip so I can try the other things on the menu. Everything looked so good; it was hard to make a decision!

Ps. I went here with my girlfriend and her parents who don't normally eat a lot of organic food, and they left the restaurant very impressed and wanting to try more organic and vegan foods!

Upon arrival I decided to order a drink. Beside the fact that the bartenders were not busy and confused on who was going to make my drink. They did not seem very happy with this world which made me feel awkward on paying for a 10 dollar drink. When i became interested on how long two very unbusy bartenders were taking to make my drinks the girl making my drink told me to shut up in spanish. I soon realized why no one was in there. The drinks were good but they got them wrong. On top of them cusing and being very rude to us they charged us for drinks we did not have and when we questioned the charge they cursed at us again. Basically i will never go back and I will tell everyone i Know never to go there. I am so upset if I were amazingly rich I would buy billboard space to advertise how bad this place really was. I started to feel bad that the owner had a staff that does not care about their job, but that just shows how dumb they are for hiring the worst staff known to man. This is the first time i have ever written a review on a restaurant thats how bad it sucked. (the red head knows spanish BEWARE) (and dude with the weird eyes) is A body guard for OBAMA so do not mention Mccain or you will get cursed at!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

An excellent evening of great, tasty "petit plate" and very creative, exotic drinks that you can't resist. Beleza is so passionate and at the same time full with irresistible smell of great food and amazing deserts.
It's charm brings wonderful and beautiful people from everywhere filling it up with sensation. The music is multi-culture and flows with the rhythm of the night. I can say a million great things about "BELEZA", but I think you should take "un petit tour" yourself and feel the excitement you will always remember.

If you want a cocktail, go here. It has a great bar with a very knowledgeable mixologist. But if you want to eat...ugh! First of all, our server was rather rude and not really interested in doing her job. The tables are on top of each other. It's not really Brazilian food. While the ingredients were fresh, the place felt like it was doing something different than the way the place was advertised. Seriously, the cocktails/tapas combo is nice, but this place needs to stop pretending it's a restaurant, open itself up, and use small tables to increase space and intimacy instead of the dumb wall in the back corner and the giant tables in the front of the house.s

The drinks at Beleza are truly amazing. The "mixologist" is definitely a master at his work. I had no idea that alcohol could actually taste good and still be able to be potent. The food has a little less substance than I hoped for, but I guess it helped with the potency of the drinks. I would definitely go back... And dont forget to tip your valets!

I would maybe return for a good drink. I was with a party of about 10 people and no one in particular seemed to be too crazy about the food. The atmosphere was nice but that's really about it.

I had dinner at Beleza last night and enjoyed the experience. I read the wonder reviews in the past and just never made it down, but passed by last night and decided to grab a bite..glad I did. The whole menu is small plates and they have a definite focus on healthful ingredients, like organic grain, agave nectar instead of refined sugar and coconut milk. My friend and I ordered 6 different small plates which were more than filling for two. We had the Pom shots which were nice as well as the mojitos made with agave nectar rather than simple syrup...equally smooth. The atmosphere was casual, mature and quaint. The owner, Riccardo, made his rounds and greeted is customers with a smile and brief conversation. I really like the vibe of Beleza and could do them again really soon.

We saw this new little place called Beleza and thought we might give it a try! I am so glad we did....the food is amazing...and such a good variety...from meats to vegan...you can have it all! The cooks are very knowledgeable and friendly..ask them anything! And the cocktails...mmm!....delicious....I tried a cappirrhina...it was the best I have EVER had...and the mohijto is great too...if you like gin...try the pomegranate with hendriz gin...great! A bit expensive but for a night out...you can't beat this place.

3/28/2008 Boy how things have changed!!! Went in last night to have dinner and they had gutted the menu. The selection was so limited that I could not find a thing on it that I liked. Not a big red meat eater but they apparently no longer serve it. According to the waitress, it's all about fresh and organic stuff. OK, but does that mean that you now only serve lobster and shrimp both cooked the same way? That in itself is amateur night for sure. Oh, and forget eating anything if you don't like coconut milk and nuts. They pretty much built the entire menu around those ingredients. If I had to speculate I'd say the change is because Cuerno has opened up next door (both owned by the same group). I guess they just want this place to be for nibbles and expensive drinks and you should go next door for real food albiet much more expensive. If so,then provide the nibbles people!!! We ended up ordering a drink and some olives and chips with salsa and got the heck out of there. And forget the bossa nova vibe. No music playing. Plants dead, ambience caput. I'm sure there's a master plan but as far as I'm concerned, there's no reason in going back. Just close the place down now and cut your losses. 1/1/2008-They've done some good stuff at this place. Comfy chairs, notably good lighting, funky contemporary latin music (at least I think). Ah, anything else??? Oh yeah.......wine list good and very reasonable. Drinks???? Whoa!!!! Try the mojito. The bartender was masterful. Food?? All fresh (organic?) and very tasty. Had the oxtail stew, the rice and the kale. All delicous, nicely served and reasonably priced. Really enjoyed the whole experience. Can I think of anything not so nice???? Ok, if I really really had to dig I'd say they need to make sure that all the staff is welcoming and friendly. That's it people. I'm making sure I head back as soon as possible. This is a great addition to mid-town!!!

I'll admit. I was apprehensive when I had first heard of this place. Then I became curious, after reading some reviews. This weekend, my friends and I decided to just go for it and try it out, and I'm so glad we did! Upon entering the restaurant, we were underwhelmed. The space is tiny, has very little decor, and just didn't look very Brazilian. But the atmosphere is clean, simple, and modern. At first glance, the drink menu was extremely impressive. We wanted one of everything! If you love kiwi, then you must try the Lulo. The muddled kiwi is a delicious touch; tart and tropical, not overly sweet. I also had the grapefruit and tupelo honey martini; even though I'm not a huge fan of honey, it made the drink so fragrant. My dining companions enjoyed their caipirinhas and acerola mojitos, but my friend who ordered the Jungle Juice didn't like it quite as much. We ordered 5 dishes (small portions): started off with the olives, the arugula salad (which had an interesting combination of ingredients, like tofu and papaya, but it worked!), the tuna crudo (very fresh and light, the lemon oil was a perfect touch). For dinner, we ordered the Forbidden Rice... and it was absolutely DELICIOUS. My date and I raved about it all night! The ingredients in this dish were so simple but it made the flavors so complex. The texture was amazing too - I loved the contrast of the pistachios with the grains and the pesto. MUST TRY! We also got the duck, which was good, but took forever to come out. The desserts were good but didn't impress me - we had the acai sorbet and the passion fruit mousse. All in all, I highly recommend Beleza to those who love more eco-friendly restaurants and organic, natural foods. But if you're used to your "meat and potatoes", I'd perhaps skip this one, as they don't serve much poultry/beef. Parking is slightly difficult to find, but there are a few pay lots around.

You'll need to be a supermodel on a superdiet to enjoy the smallest portions ever seen. While their DJ spins house music, you'll spin when you get the tab at this tiny, trendy, Midtown newcomer. Spend your money on a first class ticket to Brazil instead of the miniscule "middle seat" overpriced Tuna Crudo or Halibut plates.

I have never written a review on anything! This restaurant is so fantastic, I thought I'd write my first. The decor is fresh, hip and clean. The spacing and open flow of the bar are is great! The music is rich and it changes throughout the week to introduce you to a different Brazillian flavor each night. Oh, and BTW, there is simply not a bad food or beverage on the menu! Thank you for making Brazillian healthy.

Being long time tapas fans, we had been waiting for this Brazilian Tapas lounge to open for months. And was it ever worth it. We had the signature Caipirinhas, and our new favorite martini, Grapefruit/Tupelo Honey. Pure heaven, to match this wonderful Tapas menu. We had several plates, but a couple we had, were just outstanding. Especially the Florida Snapper w/Passion Fruit, Salsa and Cilantro. And the refreshing Tomato and Watermelon w/Watermelon Sorbet, Pickled Rine and Basil. This sister restaurant to Fritti, is a most welcomed additon to Midtown. Our server was very detailed about the Tapas Menu, and answered all our questions. Beleza is now at the top of our Tapas outings!

Pros: Brazilian Tapa Menu & Signature Drinks!

Cons: Parking Can Be Tight!

Wow. Just great everything. I rarely write reviews, but beleza was just too good. Chef McKenzie (I think that's her name) has done a stunning job with her ingredients and even food aesthetics. Simply prepared and elegant. The bar has some great concoctions as well. I've been in the restaurant biz for a long time now, and as I left Beleza I was telling my girlfreind that this is the kind of place I wish that I had!

Pros: food, drinks

I was blown away by the concept. There is nothing else like it in Atlanta. Reasonable prices, organic ingredients, intimate atmosphere, and the cocktails will knock your socks off! I tried most of the menu (it's tapas style) and honestly, one thing was better than the next. TRY EVERYTHING, especially the eggplant and peppers and the all harvest salad! Kudos to the chef. I will be back again and again!!! This is my new favorite restaurant.

The space is cozy, but very cool and over the top! The food is good and organic, but the drinks are an A+++. Definitely check this place out.
