Look at the other reviews on this Sandoval outpost and they are consistent with our experience last night. They do NOT have their act together in the front of the house -- service is slow, disorganized and uncoordinated. Food and drink

This was on 2/25/11 around Lunch time\r
This was our second time we came to this restaurant. It was one of the best experiences my wife and I have ever had. The first time we had Saul wait on us and this time we had Lia help us. Both

The food here is all right, assuming you actually get waited on. We've tried this place at least twice. The last time I went with my kids, one of whom is a toddler. When I asked for another minute to order, I didn't see the waiter for at least 20! We luckily had an appetizer but my baby didn't have the same waiting capacity as the rest of us and so by the time the food arrived, she'd had it. When our food finally arrived, I had to hold up my own dirty dish so the waiter could set down my new plate- he actually asked me to do that! It was not a busy time of day and there were many times I glanced over to see him chatting with his coworkers when he could've grabbed our dishes. I think even the manager walked idly by while we stared at dirty dishes and my kids were becoming increasingly tired of waiting. Ridiculous. The manager of this place ought to take a lesson from the folks next door at The White Chocolate Grill. Any staff member there is willing to help you at any time. You never have to bus your own dishes! I was so disapointed to have spent my rare day out with the kids at this place.

I've eaten at Sandia twice and the third time, just left without even ordering because no patio table was available on a beautiful summer evening due to "lack of servers". Here are my views on the Pros and Cons of this place:
Pros: great patio, two story, mountain views, nice bar on the patio, lounge chairs, well decorated and designed inside, easy parking and access.

Cons: Food is overprocessed, salty, too spicy and just not tasty. The overall attitude of this place seems to be "people will come anyway so we don't care if we please you". The patio (or parts of the patio) are often closed for no apparent reason, so when people want to sit out on the patio, the response is "that section is closed, we don't have enough servers, and the section that is open is all taken." Great location but improvement needed.

My wife & I love Mexican food so we thought we would try
La Sandia @ the park meadows mall.
We were seated right away, but it went down hill after that, the service was slow.
The cheese enchiladas were too salty to eat and the black beans had no flavor.
The beef burrito I had was just ok.
I would not recommend this restaurant !!!!!

I just ate here for the first time a few weeks ago and loved it! The food was great, and very unique. Everything has a little spicy kick but nothing bad! My little brother (age 4) loved his bean burrito, and I loved everything I ordered. The rice is particularly flavorful! Loved it!

They have an enteresting selection of food. It's mexican style but not tradional. Everything I have ordered has been wonderful. I particularly like their tequila flight to sample different tequilas.
