.

While I was impressed by the excellent service and number of big-screen TVs (which you can see from every angle), I was disappointed by the food, which is pricey and tastes below par.

I ordered Nachos and a Burger Melt Sandwich which had BJ's 'special sauce' ( I was told this was the most popular burger). I also ordered a custom brewed rootbeer (I love rootbeer). At first glance I noticed that all the food was very, very heavy, even by bar-food standards. The nachos were sitting in a pool of beef chili. The burgers had large patties, thousand island dressing, multiple slices of cheese and buttery bread (and this was after I told them to hold the mayo). You get a huge portion of french fries, too.

How did it taste? The nachos were WAY too salty, which destroyed the dish. There's so much salt already built in to nachos, why do they have to add more? My hamburger was unremarkable, except it was undercooked and a little cold. Couldn't taste the cheese. The french fries were fine (how can you mess up french fries?) but I felt they were in such large quantities to compensate for the disappointing nachos and burger. The rootbeer tasted just like A&W.

When the average entree and appetizer is 10 bucks and the root beer is 3 bucks, I just can't recommend this place. Go to Chili's.
