CLOSED - IT'S NOW A STARBUCKS!

The following is a review from 2012 when it was open:

I'm surprised this chain has not made more free standing locations happen in North Jersey. Where else can you get roast beef ( deli sliced that is) as the main staple of a menu and have substantial variety with crowd pleasers like curly fries and, lo and behold! a diet beverage in more than just cola! You're more likely to see an Arby's in a mall food court up here but I didn't even see that. This East Rutherford location is the closest full fledged free standing franchise (and with a drive thru!) to us without going over the bridge into NYC.

I tried the signature Beef N Cheddar for the first time in about 15 years. The cheddar cheese has that melty Cheese Whizzy quality, and while that may seem like a ringing endorsement, keep in mind I am a Philly native that grew up on Cheesesteaks glued together with Cheese Whiz mortar. I cannot agree with White Castle fan loyalty to the WC slider, but they get props for fried clams and now chili cheese fries! Arbys has unique fare in it's own right. When you tire of straight burgers and fried chicken, where else can you get sliced roast beef with fast food speed? The Beef N Cheddar is on a mild onion roll bun, and I also tried the Beef and Swiss which had a full compliment of mayo and mustard with lettuce and tomato .

You are going to pay a tad more for the items. Sandwich only may run $5, and a combo over $7. But still, when you tire of the usual, this is a great alternative. The building is situated in an area near the Jets/Giants Met Life Stadium in the Meadowlands. It shares the parking lot with Popeyes, and is across the street from Wendys, so you can run a drive in trifecta to please every palate in your family. In fact, that part of the southern end of Route 17 has nearly every major fast food outlet. The Arbys webpage shows a breakfast menu, but this location does not have that service.

I would recommend this to those that have never tried Arbys, and those that haven't tried Arbys in years. It's worth the drive to wake up your tastebuds.
