Crazy Pianos, South Florida?s new restaurant & late night entertainment venue is a highly successful dueling pianos concept originally based at the most famous boulevard of Holland. Crazy Pianos has something to offer everyone and is the perfect spot to celebrate that special occasion with family & friends. We are open for lunch & dinner, seven days a week from 11am to 3am. We turn into a late-night club venue for adults 21 & over featuring live performances based on requests from the audience. We offer brunch from 11am - 3pm every Sunday & a late night menu until 3am seven days a week. From their Florentine Omelet & authentic Kobe beef sliders to Peruvian ceviche & vegan pasta dishes, there?s something for everyone at Crazy Pianos. Crazy Pianos is a total entertainment experience where the piano players and staff do not only entertain the guests; the guests become part of the show.
I recently moved to Miami from NYC and when I came across this restaurant I thought, Great! what a fantastic concept. I still feel the concept is great, however, two things are lacking.
First, the food is just average. That's ok, but the prices are above average and that's a problem. I have eaten there twice and both times the meals were disappointing.
That said, I can survive a lack luster meal if there is fantastic entertainment. Unfortunately, at Crazy Pianos there wasn't. The piano players seemed pretty bored and cynical about their jobs. They were checking their cell phones during the set. A woman made a request and didn't send money with it and they publicly embarrassed her about it. Every third or fourth song they would comment abot how they were starving artists and need to patrons to, "show them love" by giving them tips....this got really old!
Then, in a gesture to get things going I gave a song request AND tip with it. They then criticized my song request and went on a tirade about the most requested songs which they are soooo tired of playing. Of course, after that there were no more requests.
I have been to places in NYC where this kind of entertainment is lively and fun. I was hoping to have the same experience here. Personally, I think that if the musicians are that bored, they should move over and give way to new talented musicians who would be happy to entertain an audience of paying customers.
Pros: The staff is extremely welcoming and friendly
Cons: The entertainment is mediocore at best
