My dog was only there for 2 days and he came home with kennel cough and an eye infection. The staff are not trained professionals, they were more about socializing and each other then properly watching the dogs. This was the first time I have ever used a dog daycare, and I probably will never use one again, thanks to Tails R Waggin.

My puppy loves to go there. She can't wait to get out of the car and into the play area! The staff is very attentive and friendly.

We started taking our labradoodle to Tails R Waggin for overnight boarding when she was just 2 1/2 months old. My husband and I both travel and sometimes our schedules "collide" which means we need overnigth accommodations for Sage. Because Sage was a baby, we visited several boarding options in Overland Park. We were very impressed by TRW as they were the only place that offered a nice size outdoor play area, and more importantly, someone on staff is always present 24/7. Sage is now 5 months old and has stayed with TRW 4 or 5 times. Every time we arrive they comment on how much she has grown and she can't wait to get behind the desk gate and get started playing. She has always returned home with the toys, bed, food, etc. that she arrives with. I've also called on occassion from the road to check on her. The staff is always able to provide me with an update on how she is playing, sleeping and eating. If we can't be with Sage, we are happy Tails R Waggin are there for her!

I love Tails R Waggin! We go there at least 4 times a week! I do not agree with that other review! I love the owners! they always know both my wife and myself by name and are always so excited to see Honey!! She can barley contain her excitement when coming in the door!! It wouldnt surprise me if they cant keep every ones name straight with the amount of dogs that they have coming in the door!I love the fact that when my dog was nervous first coming in that they took her under their wing so to speak and let her hang out up front BEHIND the safety of the counter until she ventured out into daycare with the others!! it made us feel good that she wasn't just stuck in a kennel like some places! My dog also has a fear of storms so its always comforting to us to know she has someone or even other dogs right there with her so she wont be as scared!! in my opinion, this Brian M should ask why dogs are safely behind the counter NOT "in the lobby" running loose, instead of just assuming!! This is one owner that is more than appreciative of the extra mile Tails R Waggin goes for our Honey!!

We really loved our first few experiences with Tails R Waggin for Dog Boarding and Daycare. The owners hearts are in the right place with this business venture and there has been no expense spared in the outfitting of the boarding facility. That being said, it has gotten slightly out of hand in recent months and there is a sense of disorganization and chaos with the facility and operators. Customer service/friendliness is also declining. I often feel like one of the owners/operators does not know our pets (even though they board and daycare often) or even appreciate our business. Perhaps we are just catching the same person over and over again on a bad day. Often you will see 10 dogs in the lobby area of the facility roaming about as if it is part of the cage-less daycare room. As a result of disorganization, the waiting room and point of entry for all pets is often over crowded with loose dogs roaming about the entry area. This is not only unsafe, it increases the risk of confrontation between dogs as they are entering the facility. Even very friendly dogs do not like to be bombarded by loose pets when they are leashed, it's an accident waiting to happen.

Business Response:

dawn we are sorry we didnt live up to your expectations. We are a work in progress as any new business is. Weve been open for 14 months, we are constantly tweeking. we have 3000+ customers, although we don't do everything right, we must be doing a big majority of things right. With the amount of dogs & customers coming in we apologize if we don't remember everyones name. WHat we dont forget is to give them love, attention, check their sleeping quarters several times a day to ensure cleanliness & they are tucked in at night& someone is here until10-midnight rechecking on them until the night person comes, hardly any other facility is doing that. It can be chaos in here when everyone checks in or out at the same time. We can't control that. We turn customers down when we are full, we turn away our regular daycare customers during peak boarding times, cause there is no room for both. we have dogs up front and many customers are thankful for that..our groom customers and dogs who dont do well in big groups. They are always supervised
