This is the last time I'm taking my scooter there. Seems more interested in doing sales than servicing their work. They did a tune up in the fall and now scooter having some problems. This scooter was ridden most of the mild winter, so being told it's probably bad gas seems like an excuse. Considering my family has several scooters being ridden and getting gassed up together with none of the rest having any problems. How about showing some customer service by saying we'll be happy to look at it and make sure it's ok since we recently just serviced it. I have heard many people tell me they want to sell scooters more than service but didn't listen.

I've had only good experiences with the guys at Sportique. They're honest with me, even though I didn't buy my scooter there. They've quoted me fair and usually cheap prices for work done, and usually have parts that I need. I needed a key for my zuma. They didn't have the part at this branch. I went down to the other one and they cut it for me for free for coming all the way down there. Key is working very well, considering that it's not a yamaha key and that two other keys failed. This shop is what you want in a neighborhood business, friendly and knowledgeable but rough enough around the edges to have some personality.

I'm on my second Kymco 50 from these guys, and they have always treated me fairly and honestly. Russell and Adam have really helped out lately with my new bike (August 2009) and I could not give a stronger thumbs up if you are looking for a scoot. Sportique and ALL their stores are the best in Denver/Boulder!!!

I've been going to Sportique since 2002 and have always had great service and support from them. If you have questions, ask them and they will be answered. They'll be honest about the strengths and weaknesses of scooters both modern and vintage. They'll be honest in what can be done to improve your scooter should you want it or need repairs.\r\n\r\nDon't expect to be treated like royalty though. The staff are there to put you on the scooter that's right for you - not to bow and scrape before you. Go in there acting like Queen Muck and they're treat you they way you treat them.\r\n\r\nI've been there when a customer has come in to complain, too. They'll do the best can for you and bend over backwards to get the situation set straight as long as your respectful. Act like and prat, and you'll be treated like one.\r\n\r\nThis place is THE PLACE to get a quality scooter and have a staff that that KNOWS how to fix them properly.\r\n\r\nThe best place in Denver for scooters without a doubt.

Pros: Most knowledgable staff when it comes to scooters

I've been a customer of Sportique for close to 9 years now and they have always been good to me! It's nice to know that in a time when ""scooter shops"" are popping up left and right selling cheap plastic toys, there is still a place I can recommend to people who want a fair deal on a scooter they will be happy with. Keep it up guys!

The plethora of fake reviews here is staggering and only proves how these negative reviews must be so correct.\n\nLook at how they are posted one day after another or on the same days even. Look at how they usually mention Collin by name!\n\nI called Colorado PowerSports for a price on a Scooter. They quoted me $100 UNDER MRSP ON THE ROAD!! At Sportique it was $500 ABOVE MRSP!!\n\nBottom line, these guys are unethical crooks. Avoid!\n\nPS. Take a look at Craigslist trying to sell their second hand scooters for MORE than other dealers are selling BRAND NEW models for! That's because they bought them at Sportique!

I have been visiting Sportique in the Highlands for many years and I have always found that location to be an incredibly friendly place. They fix old scooters like my Vespa and stock parts for it, too, and have since the late 90's. Now they have a location at S Broadway and Quincy which is more convenient for me. I am very impressed with the place. It's far larger that the Highlands location and it's well staffed. They incorporated Toy Shop Racing - a goped dealership - into the store and hired a guy named Ray Kite to run it. Ray is the nicest and most helpful guy you could ever hope to meet. Sportique seems to be dedicated to customer service more than ever before. This is a real local business that we should be proud of. Look around the city at all the wanna-bees trying to be like Sportique. If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery the guys there must be blushing. \r\n

The owner, Colin, told me that it is his mission in life to please scooterists. I took my 50cc Vespa to Sportique to get it upgraded to 70cc. Colin took great care of me. Sportique got the parts ordered and installed quickly, communicated well to keep me updated on the status of the job, and the scooter is awesome now that the kit is installed. Everyone I talked to there (Colin, the parts guy, a couple of sales guys, and the mechanic who did the work) were all super friendly and more than happy to answer all of my questions.\r\n\r\nColin lives up to his word that it is his mission in life to please scooterists. I'd highly recommend going to Sportique for all of your scootering needs. Sportique is Awesome!

Sportique took my scooter in the spring of 2007. It turned out that the engine had been blown and that we needed a replacement engine. They found a replacement and it took 5 months to put it in the scooter. When we got the Scooter back, it was scratched, missing its rear basket, and the battery was dead. The people at Sportique denied any responsibility for the scooter's condition and were out of a battery and baskets. When the battery finally arrived, we had to convince them that, in fact, they had drained the battery and that we deserved a new one. They had ""tossed"" the rear basket and kept talking about the time frame that it took for us to get back to them. All in all, they ruined the scooter, took no responsibility, and kept it all summer last year. They never returned phone calls or e-mails and made us feel like we were in some way responsible. Horrible, and I will never go back!

Came to Sportique after visiting bigger shops like Fay Myers and Erico. I must say it was a huge relief to discover a place where they still ""get it"". They were super helpful and knowledgeable. You can't fake the experience these guys have. They sell nothing but scooters and it shows. I bought the Vespa LX150 and I love it. I can't recommend these guys highly enough. 4 Colorado Stores - Highlands, Englewood, Colo Spngs and Boulder. \r\n

I bought a Bajaj Chetak from Colin and he gave me a good price. I didn't even have to haggle and the buying experience was great. The Chetak is an awesome scooter. After a few weeks I took it in for brake work, they had it fixed perfectly by noon the following day under warranty. And they threw in a free cable adjustment. The new Englewood location is great, they have lots of room and a fine shop.

I've been a customer since day 1; I even ate a piece of the grand opening cake. Sportique Scooters has never done me wrong - I've owned three vintage Vespas and a Lambretta - I've never been disappointed or cheated. Likewise, I've never had a problem with their straight-forward attitude. As a customer I've bought everything from a helmet to a rebuilt engine, and I've had all types of service work done. Colin, Dan, Adam and crew know more about scooters, both vintage and new, than anyone probably should. Sportique revived Denver's vintage scooter ""scene"" as well as helped to make new ""twist-and-go"" scooters popular around Denver. Simply put, without Sportique, Denver's scooterists would be screwed.

I purchased my 1st scooter a used 50cc Kymco from Sportique in April 2007, Adam & Val were my Sales Specialist at the Pecos St. location. Adam had me ride more than several different types of scooters before i made my choice to buy from them the following day, low pressure with lots of info on questions i had. I really enjoyed my 50cc all summer long, Colin scheduled some work to be done on my scooter during that time that I also had great results from.... Then on September 1st they opened their S. Broadway location, I went to the Grand Opening and ended up test riding some New Scooters that Adam once again set me up on... to my delight I fell in love with the new Genuine Buddy 125cc Series Italia and traded in my 50cc Kymco... I appreciate all of Adams Help and knowledge, and Colin has been on top of things whenever i have questions that need answered and appointments for service... Both Locations Rock!!!!! Thanks Guys & Gals!!!!

It must be nice to be so entrenched in your subculture that you can afford to be rude to everyone else. Or at least to me. Paid full asking price for a used bike and have been treated like sh*t ever since. The website says to beware of buying a used bike anywhere else. When I called with a problem just a few days after getting the bike home I was asked what did I expect, it was a used bike! I know one girl who rented a truck and drove to Utah to buy a scooter after shopping at Sportique and feeling so insulted by the treatment she received.\r\n\r\n My industry went thorough a period like this in the mid-nineties and we had to figure out how to welcome people to our sport without selling out. The growing pains are tough, but in the end it's so great to see someone new enjoying your sport it is all worth it. And the growth can provide new opportunities. Scooters are a perfect answer for the need to reduce gas consumption and a host of other social problems. Too bad these guys are the ambassadors.

Cons: Seem to dislike eveything else!

My goal was to purchase a scooter under 2500.00 so after checking out Vespa, I ended up at Spotique. \r\n\r\nThe Spotique sales woman really pushed their serivce emphasizing they would provide quick response and turn-around time. Well that would depend on her definition of ""Quick"". As soon as I got the scooter a few miles from the dealership I had a disaster! The keys were jammed and I couldn't leave the bike, and couldn't start it. So I called them and they told me it would be at least TWO WEEKS before they could get out to check on the problem. Keep in mind this is the same afternoon I bought the unit!!!\r\n\r\nFast forward three weeks and none of the gages are working. Gas indicator, odometer, speedomter are all dead. Additionally the casing around the gages vibrate so bad the noise is almost louder than the engine. \r\n\r\nAlso I'd like to mention something they don't tell you at the dealership. There is a breaking in period that is described in the manual. You can't exceed certain speeds for a certain number of miles. You must know this before you speed off the lot because you can cause damage! THE SALESMAN SHOULD TELL YOU THIS.\r\n\r\nI would not recommend purchasing a scooter from Sportique. It's a bummer their are still people out there that just don't stand behind their products. We consumers must do what we can to warm others. Good luck with your purchase!
