Sweet Emily's is New York's choice for fine new American comfort food combined with Latin flair. Located in the Theater District, Sweet Emily's is relaxed & welcoming w/soft green velvet walls, dark wood paneling & large vintage sofas. Great for business or pre-theater dinner Sweet Emily's has something for everyone. From updated American classics to delicious daily specials - Sweet Emily's is known for their freshly prepared food and attention to using the finest ingredients...Bacon mac-and-cheese croquettes, coffee-rubbed chicken arepas with ancho-maple glazesmoked pork chops w/ potato gratin & sweet-and-sour apricot sauce and for dessert, warm apple cake w/ caramel sauce & whipped cream. If the food sounds tempting, so will the affordable prices! Whether you are looking for a great meal, casual drink or a great place to dine with a group of friends, Sweet Emily's welcomes you!
I went to Sweet Emily's last week and the food was delicious... I still think of the coffee rubbed chicken Arepas.. Ohhhh Crispy arepas made with Polenta.. not traditional but excellent...and there is the Grilled Caesar Salad.. yes grilled, unconventional but again delicious. And of course there are the drinks.. a smooth blackberry mojito and an excellent Jalaberry Margarita.. and they have a full bar for whatever you might desire?
And the best part of it all are the prices? I know you don?t want to really spend money in this economy but Sweet Emily?s will not break your budget... I will be there again.
Pros: Food, ambiance, drinks and prices.
Cons: Too far from Brooklyn but I'm willing to travel
