This is an employee review. I went through orientation for Darque Tan a few months ago. The trainer himself was pretty unprofessional. There was a very disruptive woman in the training class who he demeaned (whether or not I feel she deserved it is another issue) and actually got in to a LOUD yelling match in the office with her one day while there were other people in the class in the next room. During your 40 hours of training they do not tell you which of 15 salons across the metro you will be placed in, they post your phone number on the company website and then you get harassing phone calls all day every day from any of these 15 salons asking if you'll cover shifts that day/next day. Comission is a joke unless you're selling over $1000/shift and thats just making the company bank, not your pay check. Most people working on weekends are required to work 10 hour shifts with no unpaid lunch break because of a loop hole in the legal system that the district trainer and I quote said, "we kick it wide open." During the training they also do not go over any in-salon procedures such as logging on to the computer. Imagine my surprise my first day on the job when I go to punch in and I have not been set up with a company log-in. Aggravating, unprofessional, and cheap are words that come to mind. Oh and thanks for my last pay check 2 months and one week after my last day. That just makes my experience with this company leave and even more foul taste in my mouth. I highly reccommend against working for Darque Tan.
