Just read Marie G.'s review. Wish she had written it a month or two ago. We purchased a Safe Step Walk In Tub Co. tub from a company here in S. D. about a month ago. We have a 50 gal. hot water heater. When the sales rep was here he looked at the plumbing, electrical set up, and hot water heater. He said everything looked like it would work just fine. The installation went well and the installers did a good job. We were under the impression the entire old tub surround was to be replaced. They did not, so we now have old tub / shower surround above the new, pretty white tub. That is minor compared to the other problems. We have to hire an electrician to wire the tub into our breaker box, as the installers were not able to utilize the electrical system that was in place. They put in a long electrical line with a plug on the end and plugged it into an outlet. We have a 50 gal. water heater and it does NOT generate enough hot water to fill the tub. We can fill the tub about 1/4 to 1/3 full with the first attempt, then we run out of hot water. It takes four additional attempts (waiting 15 minutes each time for more hot water to be generated) to get the tub filled above the water jets. It takes 89 gallons of water to fill above the water jets. Wonder what our water bill will be next month ? This system is not going to work when our son and his family come to visit. Three of his family like a bath over a shower, so they all won't be able to take a bath in one evening if it takes an hour and one-half to fill the tub ! The other problem is, we like to take showers, but trying to take a shower with their hand wand is a joke. About all it's good for is rinsing the tub out. And they took out our old shower plumbing, so can't affix a shower head to it and get a good shower. We are not happy !

I have had my tub for several years. I always had a problem with being unable tofill the tub with hot water. We have a 40 gal. hot water heater and I empty it every time I want to take a hot whirlpool bath, therefore I hae never enjoyed the product that I overpaid for. Today I called for a service call and they are no longer in business. I was given a number in Nashville, over 155 miles awayfor service. This is not a very good co. if they won't service the product. They also mislead me that I could enjoy a product, but did not let me know how much water it would take to fill it with hot water. No matter how much I tried, I was unable to take a hot soaking bath like I wanted.
