Welcome to Tub's Fine Chili & Fancy Fixin's in Culver City! Tub's Chili was born in the gold country of the Sierra Nevada foothills in a ittle town called Placerville. Tub's continues the 1849 tradition of feeding hungry gold miners seeking a hot & tasty meal at a fair price, enjoy! We have 7 homemade varieties of Chili to feed everyone's taste buds with signature names like Steak Town, Turkey Drive, Chicken & Spurs and Vegetarian style called Cattleman's Pass all served in our toasted bread tubs and the size you want. All of our fine grub is available for dine in or carry out. If you are having a party have us pack you some to go.
I love everything about Tubs! The chili is delicious (turkey and vegie are THE BEST!), I love that they serve their chili on flatbreat and in environmentally-friendly bowls. The people are so friendly and the prices are very fair. Just an all-around great place.

Great new addition to Culver City. Fine Chili, with nice sides. Great family place with fantastic friendly service. Definitely a place to go back to often.

Some of the best chili ever, and fun people. You have to order by name. My favorite flavor is the Turkey Drive and I get the "Showgirl" (2 scoops) in the bread tub. Yes, they make you say it and they repeat it in a falsetto voice. Great toppings, too! Don't forget the TNT (habenero oil) to add some heat. I use a lot, but I recommend starting with a little. I will go 2 or 3 time a week, if I can. My first time in was 2 hours after they opened their doors.

I agree with much of what the first reviewer said---much better than most fast food, and the chili was good. I'll definitely try it again. Hoping it succeeds.

I like the idea of this place, and I had a bowl of chili there a couple of weeks back...not bad! I like the bread bowl idea, but the chili itself (with steak, in my case) was only OK. Not as hearty or flavorful as I was hoping, but not right out of the can either. I did like the people: they're working hard to get this place off the ground, and I was impressed by that.
I'd go back and try another variety, and I'd pick Tub's over most fast food, but it's not quite at the knock-your-socks off level. Do add the oil and onions if you go...and here's hoping there are more fancy fixins coming. It ain't fancy enough for me yet!

Great Chili, Friendly, Personable Service, Unique

Visited last week. Great selection of some really tasty chili. The owner let me take small samples of each before making my selection. Ended up eating the turkey chili that day with all of the "fancy fixin's." Truly a unique place with a personable owner and wife (?) working the counter. I love chili so I was very happy to hear about this place from one of my coworkers. Really good food if you're a chili fan.
I will definitely be back
Pros: Great selection, tasty chili, friendly service
Cons: Location and capacity may limit them long term
