I stopped in at Lake Forest Bar & Grill on Friday afternoon (2/10) for a late lunch. The server was horrendous... I had to flag her down for every single request. Kara was her name. She never once asked if I needed anything.

They have to have one of the best happy hours in Seattle. $5.99 is the most expensive item. Wednesday you can get a $5.00 Steak and Fries and yes it is good. If you are in the Northend and what a good deal with good food got to come in.\r

Have been there 4 times now, hoping that each time I go, things will be better, but unfortunately am still not impressed with their food. Hot food is usually not hot, just lukewarm, or it is overdone (my burger was black). Fries are never hot. Staff are friendly and attentive though.

The atmosphere is what this restaurant has going for it - lots of locals who all seem to know each other. The food is mediocre, although the seafood chowder is amazing. Happy hour has great prices and lots of variety.

Consistently good food. It's great to finally have this kind of dining option back in Lake Forest Park. Their tap selection is not extensive but they usually have some respectable local brews available. Staff are pleasant though they can get backed up during frantic times like $5 steak night. Yeah, that's right. $5 gets a steak and fries. It's not fancy but it's not off a steam table, either. Cooked to order and for a couple bucks more you can add some extras for a very reasonably priced meal.

Great to have a full-service restaurant in the LFP Town Center again! Have enjoyed breakfast lunch and dinner here many times. On very busy nights or with big groups, have not had perfect service, but it is fun, local and fairly reliable standard northwest grill fare.

This semi newly opened restuarant in a former Shari's has a lot of great things going for it. They have lots of specials including a great happy hour and wino wednesday, plus often send out coupons for buy one get one meals and specials like donate a can of food and get a free drink. Its located in the Third Place Book Center so before or after a meal you can go and flip through some books. It also has plenty of parking, decent hours and a patio that is nice to enjoy in the summer. I highly recommend the 2.95$ happy hour hummus plate and the much more expensive meditteranean salad. They also have a decent beer selection with many rotating seasonals. I am hoping they add a trivia night like some of the other neighborhood grill locations.

Pros: Happy Hour, Wino Wednesday, 5$ steak

Cons: a little pricey, popular
