We had an EXCELLENT experience with Luther Mankato, which was a pleasant surprise. We drove in from St Paul/Minneapolis area to Mankato to buy a new vehicle. Alex Brandt - the sales person was extremely friendly and not pushy at all (though ofcourse we had done our homework before hand). Alex was knowledgeable and effectively assisted us to make good decisions. Their finance person, Ben, was extremely friendly too and did not over sell the ancillary services provided by them. All in all it was an excellent experience with this dealership. We highly recommend the Luther Mankato dealership to folks from the Twin Cities area. The experience (and cost/price) will definitely be worth your 90 minute drive to Mankato from the Cities.

Bob, our sales man, was incredibly helpful. He took the time to really explain why we needed the 09 Pilot. Another salesman, helped in this endeavor. I forgot his name, but he was full of information on each model of the Pilot and why the 09 would be the best purchase for us. They kept us in Kato, instead of driving out of town for a Pilot. Ben, in finance, was able to save us money while helping us secure a complete warranty package for our new purchase. Ben even helped a bit with our children who had become restless. Their roomy lobby, pleasant front desk staff and general appearance helped the kids relax while we made some very important decisions.
One week later and I am still completely sold on Luther Mankato Honda and my new 09 Pilot. Thanks!

When I first bought the car after all the paperwork was signed the salesman then pointed out there was an area on the hood of car where the clear coat was never applied. Salesperson would "take care of it" by having me take the car to the body shop to have it painted..thus me not getting my car for another day. Been burned by the service department a couple of times. Had an issue with the vehicle they had to for two days and then told me they were not able to fix it, yet gave me bill of $350 for something they couldn't fix. Door lock needed to be replaced. Covered under warranty. But chastised for not having keyless entry. Two years later same issue, but warranty ran out..not covered. Argued something must be wrong if a door lock "wears out" after two years. No budging and had to pay a couple hundred. Took vehicle in for oil change and was told a part needed immediate attention becasue it was broken, from service manager (replacement parts/labor $700). Looked at what the machanic wrote and his words on sheet stated part "may" be on its way out. Declined replacing part at that time. Took vehicle to another machanic and was told, nothing was wrong. In the following months I had 3 more oil changes and never once machanics mentioned anything about part in question. Took my vehicle in for scheduled maintainance and told them to check part. Was told part was just fine. Haven't seen the service rep. there the last few times so maybe the person is gone, but is is a little frustrating. There are a few people there go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of.

This was our first Honda purchase and we were SO happy with the service, level of professionalism and fair pricing, we couldn't justify buying elsewhere!
Larry helped us every step of the way and was such a kind yet down to earth person, we really felt we could trust all of his thoughts and ideas. We feel that we made the best decision with this vehicle purchase!
