Being a self-proclaimed New York fashionista, the Gap has always made me cringe a little on the inside. Sure, everyone needs some cotton once in a while, but who ACTIVELY seeks out the Gap as a shopping destination? I mean how much beige does one person really need in their wardrobe? Not to mention the staff is usually exceptionally heinous. I can??t blame them though; if I worked there I??d be angry too, watching people compare and contrast different pairs of the same exact color khakis and pair them with baby pink cotton tees. I am here to announce, ladies and gentlemen, I stand corrected. I don??t know when the gap revamped their angle, but I??m feeling it. I was dragged into one on a lazy Sunday while killing time with one of my girlfriends, and after vehemently protesting, I can??t help but admit that I was wrong. Now, the usual gap staples were plentiful. Beige, white, grey, and black solid colors were everywhere. I was pleasantly shocked to see that in addition to the normal yawn inducing collection of Gap staples there were also playful, colorful blouses, and assortment of funky shorts, and (gasp) an entire section devoted to EVENING WEAR. I couldn??t believe my eyes. While the majority of these outfits were indeed cotton, they were fun, flirty and not totally drab, which is an A plus in my book, especially when we??re talking about the gap. While I can definitely say that not everything in the store was screaming ??me?, I was still able to walk around and pull at least 5-10 items off the racks to try on, something that formerly was more challenging then riding a unicycle. Despite my resolve not to, I fell into the gap.

Some of the clothes are expensive, yes but they are so cute that they are worth it. Sometimes they do have some great sales so you can pick stuff up cheap. One big problem is the sizes. They tend to run a little small on some things and they do not have very many large sizes. The store is big and bright and is fun to shop in. They have everything that you need to make a complete right in the same store.
