DISMAL EXPERIENCE
I had an equally awful experience.I have been a patient for 10 years and have had a few painful appointments but that I expected.What I didnt expect was the Dr. to treat me like I was a piece of s****.I have Insurance,money and a careeer.I am a professional.I may not have looked like it because I didnt feel well-I needed an extraction I had on sweats- and the beginning process was tremoendous.I had a very caring Assistant and Dentitst however,the Surgeon treated me like crap as well his assistant.The Assistant was in the hallway having a grand time with 2 other girls while I was waiting for the Dr.Once he came in I asked to make sure I was going to get the Nitrous Oxide as I was very nervous.The Assistant was very upset that she had to go get the tank and she made no effort to cover her frustration-had she been with me she would have know I wanted the gas.Once we finally got under way,I was shaking to my core-I have had many bad childhood experiences with a barbaric Dentist, and i was re -living all of them that moment and I was unctrollably shaking and crying-I did not get 1 once of compassion nor did they reassure me that I would be fine.Though I didnt feel any pain during the procedure,the comment the Dr. made afterward hurt badly.He finished and said"There,you survived the atrocity".
I was astounded and didnt realize the magnitude or impact that statement would have on me until I left the office.I couldnt beleive he was so uncaring,unforgiving and rightous.I am not a person that doesnt take care of myself(like that would matter-we are all hhuman beings)I have tried for 3 years to save the tooth that ended up coming out.Maybe he is used to other walks of life coming in to get a procedure to eliminate the cost of regular dental care-no matter what I didnt deserve such crass remarks or treatment.I enjoy the regulare Dentist I see,I have no problems with him.I have a big problem with the girl who only needed 10 Saturdays of training to act like a complete A**.
No human being in this day and age should be treated this way-if it were a loved one of mine I would be shouting from the podium,dialing anyone that would listen butr because it was myself,I had to really think about my role in this-as I did,I realized that i did everything right-I pay them for gds sake-they are to apprecite they have a job,people that come to get care-I PAY THEM FOR GODS SAKE AND THEY ARE GOING TO TREAT ME THAT WAY????
I need to report this to Admin but do they listen?Do they care?Do they only care about the $$$$$.
I may leave to find a more friendly practice and I dont care what the cost is...MY DIGNITY IS PRICELESS.
