.

My doctor sent me to NoBo PT after a bad ankle sprain - the therapist was very chatty which was fine during the sessions until I got the bill 5 months after the last session (slow billing!) and I had been charged for 45 min and 60 min sessions instead of the 30 min sessions they had signed me up for. I don't think any of my sessions went over 30 min but if they did it was because the PT was telling me about her x-country ski trips instead of focusing on therapy.

They also told me up front that they had confirmed with my insurance company that I would pay $0 - it was covered 100% by insurance up to 10 visits. They also pushed me to get more sessions since they would be 'free'. In the end, when I got the bills 5 months later, it turned out PT was not covered by my insurance, and that what they wrote on the insurance verification form and verbalized to me was just 'a courtesy' and not their responsibility - so I got slapped with unexpected bills and on top of it they overcharged on time.

Between the misinformation and the overcharging on length of sessions, I strongly discourage people from going to this place. And if you do go, take copious notes, document everything they say and try to nail down prices before they begin, otherwise you may be looking at some big bills.

Health insurance companies are bad enough, having to fight and get cheated by health care professionals is even worse!
