I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else. Dr. Hicks and her staff have been incredibly kind and patient with us. They have stayed late for us to come in for an appointment, they've come in early for us to drop off. They know our names when we come and the receptionists always greet our pets and us! One of my dogs has allergies and they even keep special treats for him at the front desk! I have never felt as though they're all about the dollar, but rather what's best for our pets. Their vaccines are some of the lowest price in the area and their compassion is the highest. We changed vets from a clinic (2 miles down the road) because they didn't seem to care. As in all businesses, you get what you pay for and for the quality we receive at Indian Hills is top notch. Don't let others fool you into thinking they're about money-- they give options as far as what you can afford and understand that everyone has a limit. I was even told once to wait on a teeth cleaning until they give a discount in February! Not many vet clinic's would recommend that!! Come to this clinic-- Dr. Hicks, Nicole, Liz and the others will make sure you won't want to go anywhere else.

This places cares more about selling you unnecessary services than helping your pet. My cat was very sick so I took here to Indian Hills Animal Clinic because it was right across the street from where I live. They gave her a clean bill of health and sold me on hundreds of dollars of unnecessary services. They are the doctors, so I took their word that my cat was fine. A week later my cat was still very ill and I took her to another clinic where they performed the necessary procedures to save her life. It's sickening that the Indian Hills vet completely ignored all her symptoms as the other vet knew right away that my cat had fluid in her lungs from an infection and was close to dying. I would recommend going somewhere where they care about animals an not just money.

We thought we had a wonderful vet at Indian Hills until our dog got hit by a car. We called the office and then zoomed up there to find a note on the door that they were all out for staff meeting. Why the person on the phone told me to come I will never know. Luckily there was a contractor working there who heard our frantic knocking and helped us (with a clerical worker) get her inside. We were then sent to Bogue Animal hospital (after sitting in the floor with Roxie for almost an hour) where we had to pay $70 for a pain short and then take her to the Emergency Clinic where she finally had surgery for her broken leg. I cant imagine how painful all those stops must have been on her! I chalked it up to one time mistake - apologies were made and accepted. Then my 19 year old cat had to be put to sleep and they wanted to charge me a $75 exam fee because it had been over a year since she had been seen. After a lot of tears and phone calls the vet agreed to put her to sleep for free due to all these problems.

Now I call to get a quote for vaccines, neuter for one kitten, spay for 2 kittens, and vaccines for our dog and was quoted a ridiculously high amount. I called 3 other vets and their prices were less than one third the price of IH. So, I went line by line through the itemization to make sure I was comparing fairly. One receptionist actually laughed at what all they were charging us for!

This sucker is taking her beloved pets somewhere else!

Oh my gosh, I can't believe that anyone wouldn't love Sarah Hicks. She cared for one of my aged animals at the Emergency Clinic in Wichita and has now joined Indian Hills Clinic on Maize Rd. She has always been kind and thoughtful. I agree they charge too much, but I'm willing to pay for what I've gotten, which is good medical care for my dogs.

They are always able to get us right in. They are courteous and kind to my dogs and me. I have taken three dogs there over the years. Unfortunately, one of them "met" a car on a busy street and had to be put down. We were devastated but they were compassionate and seemed to understand how bad we felt and endured all our crying. They made us a plaster cast of her paw which I still have to remind me of how much we loved her.

Pros: Quick appointments

Cons: None

Indian Hills is not all what it is cracked up to be, they lie to their clients and do things that vets should not do and I have seen it from the inside. I would not take my pet there even if I would have to drive an hour away to find a vet that is honest and will not lie to me or treat my pet the way they have to some...

This place is a very big joke!!! You need to check out the place carefully before you take your pet there. They lie to clients, charge you a huge amount of money for anything and the girl who takes care of the daycare is a big joke, if clients really knew how she treats your pets and how that place can harm your pet should come out.

Pros: all the sweet pets that go there

Cons: everything about the place

I took my dog to the Indian Hills Clinic on West 13th Street and they told me it would cost thousands to treat my dog and wanted me to hospitalize him and go on a payment plan. When I wouldn't agree to the payment plan, they suggested I put him to sleep. I left and took him to a different clinic for a second opinion. They treated my dog and sent me home with $70 worth of medications. To this day, my dog is healthy & happy no thanks to this place.

We've been using Indian Hills Clinic for over 5 years. The staff and vets are great. The facility is practically spotless. They do a great job explaining what your pet's needs are. They also have a doggie day care facility on site.
