I had been going to this practice since my son was born. He had recurring ear infections in his first year so we were there every two to three weeks for several months either getting him checked or with a new ear infection. I had to fight the doctors to order tubes, but I chalked it up to them wanting to wait and see instead of jumping into surgery. I took matters into my own hands though and went to Children's Hospital who said that tubes were needed and so we had the tubes placed. I continued to go to Centennial Valley Peds mostly out of convenience now that my son was better. Their weekend hours and late nights are about the only great thing they have going for them. So a couple of months ago I took my son in for his well check. I had been concerned about my son's speech because of the family history of speech issues on both sides. I had explained the concern about speech to the doctor and she proceeded to tell me that speech delays are an early sign of autism and that she believed my son to be autistic. I am in the education field and know that a speech delay is not the only indicator of autism and so I asked what other indicators she was basing this on. She promptly stated that due to him being advanced for his age in his motor and developmental skills that he was most likely autistic. I was so upset by this broad generalized statement that I did follow up with Colorado's Child Find and they have found nothing to indicate autism, but in fact have said it appears he is a very well adjusted little boy who they believe has a speech delay due to the family history and the fact that he had so many ear infections that impacted his hearing in the first year of his life. I made the final mistake this week when my son woke up with a fever and rash all over his body as well as a strange discharge from his ears. His new pediatrician was not open and so I went against my gut feeling and took him in to this practice to get him checked to determine if he needed to be on an antibiotic right away instead of waiting for his new pediatricians?? office to open this week. I went over my sons symptoms and the doctor was very rude and short with us. My son was screaming and did not want the doctor anywhere near him which is pretty typical for a sick toddler to react. The doctor snapped at me and said ??If you want me to examine your son you need to get control of him.? He finally looked at the rash and then looked in his ears. He turned to me and said ??Has your son ever had an ear infection because I think we might have one now?? I laughed out loud in disbelieve and said yes he had 8 of them last year and you are the one who did his follow up tube check up. He then dismissed me and said he didn??t notice any tubes in my son??s ears but that my son was wiggling so much so he didn??t get a good look. We got our prescription for the antibiotic and I asked about how to provide relief for the rash and the doctor said ??I don??t know I would just ask your pharmacist and they can help you.? I was so upset that I just dressed my son and walked out. While we have the antibiotic that my son needed he was once again treated horribly by the doctors of Centennial Valley Peds. If you are planning on bringing your child to this practice please be aware that they do not always appear to have the needs of the child in mind. I appalled by the lack of sensitivity and support that they have. I never expected hand holding or hours of their time, but I did expect that if I brought a concern to their attention that they would take the time to work with my son and I to get this resolved especially when we are talking about major issues such as surgical needs and developmental delays.

My children have been taken care of by Centennial Valley Pediatrics providers for over 11 years. They have always given excellent care and the staff are fantastic. I can always get a same day appointment and never have to wait for long to be seen.
Every provider has provided me with up-to-date information and has helped guide us in the care for our children. They are forward thinking in prevention and health information. I have always recommended them to my friends.

My children have been going to CVP for years. We like all of the providers we have seen, we especially like the nurse practitioners. Everyone from the front office to the back office has been friendly and accomodating. We are very comfortable there and appreciate the knowledge base of the providers. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone wanting professional, knowledgable, friendly people caring for their children.

I have been bringing my children to Centennial Valley Pediatrics since 2007 and I am very impressed with the entire staff. I always get seen at my scheduled appointment time and can always get my sick kid in on the same day. Everyone at the office is always very nice and patient and the providers take the time to answer all of my questions. I would definitely recommend this practice to my friends.

I moved here in Feb 2007 and brought my 4 children in for well checks. I hand delivered all their medical records before our vist. When we arrived for their well check they had lost two of the children's records. They told me it was my responsibility to get records from the old dr. (they can do it for free but refused to do it) For me to do it, it would cost me $25 a piece. In the past two years, I have never been able to see the same dr. twice. I liked several of the Drs. but they didn't know me or my children and had not read our charts. Every time I went in I had to explain my chronically ill child's medical history. One of the doctors I did talk to on more than one occasion seeemed very ill-informed and recommended a test at a lab that can only be performed when admitted to a hospital. I had to do the footwork to figure out how to get the test done with no help from the pediatricians office. I ended up having to get a specialist we see at Children's Hospital get it set up and they were amazed my child's doctor didn't know how to do it. The office staff seems harried and grumpy when I have been there. Overall, I have been very disatisfied and I am currently transferring all my children (two of which have no medical records from 1999- 2007 because Centennial lost them).

I have been going to Centennial Valley Pediatrics for over 10 years. Both kids were born at Avista Hospital and were under the care of CVP doctors. We have never had a bad experience. Shots have always been handled very well. Neither of my children ever cried while receiving them. We have been able to show up at the scheduling desk and get an appointment right away whenever a child was picked up from school ill. The front office staff has always been courteous. Paper work was received when requested last minute. We have seen different doctors on different occasions and do not prefer one over the other. I believe Centennial Valley Pediatrics is a very good choice.

My daughter had been a patient there for two years (2006-2007). Our last office visit was one of the worst experiences of my life and we left the practice after that.

During the visit, the pediatrician was nice, but the nurse who was giving her immunization shots was awful. The nurse walked in without a shred of smile and was already clearly impatient even before we got started. She got someone to hold my daughter really tight and started - literally - throwing shots on her (one on each arms and legs). I requested several times beforehand for her to use shot-blockers, and she agreed to it, but she didn't use them. My daughter still couldn't get over the fact that the nurse lied to her. Throughout the whole process, the nurse didn't show a shred of empathy towards my daughter. Obviously she just wanted to get it over with. Some of the shots caused bleeding and the nurse applied band-aids but they were not put on tight enough. Blood was still trickling down. And the band-aids got caught in the pants when my daughter put back her clothes.

My daughter ended up screaming. I was so upset by this careless nurse! She made a difficult experience (nobody likes shots, especially not 5-yr olds) into a nightmare. I wanted to talk to the office manager to complain about her but never managed to talk to the office manager since she didn't pick up phones and we ended up playing phone tags (she called back once) for weeks. So I ended up transferring my daughter to a different pediatrics office. Centennial Valley Pediatrics faxed me someone else's health record when I asked them to send me a simple transfer form. I can't believe it!

Several months later, my daughter got her remaining shots in a new pediatrics office. What a different experience! The nurse was caring, she used shot blockers, she didn't restraint my daughter during the shots, and everything went so smoothly - my daughter did cry a bit afterwards but only for a minute or two. Nothing compared to the nightmare that she and I had to go through in the Centennial Valley Pediatrics. I'm glad that this is all over - even though I'm still angry with them.

We went in as first time patients when my daughter had what turned out to be an ear infection. They got us in the day we called. I arrived 15 min. early just in hopes of getting back home in time to pick up my other child from school. Not only did we get in on time, but early! They immediately gave me the paperwork and called me in before I even had time to fill it out. The nurse and doctor were both wonderful. I would highly recommend this practice.

I'm relatively new to this practice, but I've been happy with the pediatricians so far! When my daughter was sick, they got me in immediately, which obviously sat well with me! The office staff is very nice, as are the nurses.

PROS: Friendly doctors and staff.
CONS: No sick child entrance.

My children are my world and have been since they were born 17 years ago. This is when family had referred us to Centennial Valley Pediatrics. I have two beautiful girls that i am very proud of but cant take all the credit. The Dr.s at CVP began working miracles when my daughter was 3 months old and wasn't sick but was showing stange syptoms. She ended up needing her gallbladder out ,the Drs sent us to TCH in Denver where my daughter was the youngest patient at TCH that had this kind if surgery ! Boy was that scary... No not with our wonderful Pediatricians . So that was our first journey since then there have worked through the normal colds, the ucky flu, asthma hospital stays, ADD, normal teenage girl stuff.. And through it all Centennial Valley Pediatrics have always pulled us through with their great front office greeters to the nurses and the triage angels when you just need advise!! THANK YOU for the life time of strength.I can only pray that they are around for my grandchildren to love them as much as my children do!!!
