We just held our 5 yr. old son's birthday party here and it was an absolute fiasco! When we got there, they told us that the party before us decided to do their party backwards (cake & ice cream first and then play afterwards) which meant that their instructor on staff wouldn't be available for our son's party until 45 mins.after we had planned for it! We were forced to do cake & presents 1st in a very tiny room upstairs which wasn't even marked so we could find it and all of our party guests were crammed into this room. When it was time for the kids to finally go downstairs to play, the instructor woudln't let any of the kids or adults enjoy the equipment the same way that they were allowed to during the previous party (we watched them from above) and our time was cut short on the playtime because the instructor had to "do other things." We felt forced to end the party, clean up and leave as quickly as possible and it just wasn't as fun as we had remembered when we had his party at their old location 2 yrs. prior. They've really dropped the ball on their parties here...I wouldn't recommend it anymore.

We tried to take our son (5yrs) and his two cousins (5 and 3yrs) during one of there open jumps. After signing in, paying, getting a hands stamped, taking shoes off the excitement of going to play was building FAST! The boy took off to play when a staff member told them that they could not play because they were not old enough. He told them that it open jump for 6yrs and older. We tried to plead our case explaining that we paid and they didn't indicate that there was going to be a problem. The guy we spoke to DID NOT CARE. Now we were faced with packing the kids up (trying to do so with no tears) and trying to find an alternate fun place for them fast. We went to a new place called Monkey Joe's, in Castleton. This place was a BLAST! A must go for kids of all ages! Kind of expensive, $9 each but it was worth every penny. After we were done the tears were long since dried up and they will sleep good tonight!

We recently attended a birthday party at A+ and it was a blast! The kids had so much fun. The party was for a 4-year-old, but everyone from 18 months to the adults had a great time. They provided two instructors to lead the kids in games, the use of the entire facility and a room for cake and ice cream. The kids played games for a while and then had cake and when they came back they had free play. They weren't allowed on apparatus that could hurt them, but they had plenty to do. There is a large foam pit that they could jump in as well as several trampolines, a moon jump, low balance beams and lots of mats. I plan to have a party there in the future. The mother who hosted the party said it was less expensive to rent than Gymboree and just as much, if not more, fun!

A Plus also offers open gym times for $5/hour for non-members and $3/hour for members. Membership is around $30 a year. Their classes seem to be more expensive than Parks and Rec, but they may be worth it for older children.

My oldest son has taken gymnastics lessons at A Plus for a couple of years. They offer small classes, which gives each student some individual attention.

My son was also asked to join the boys team and compete with other children around the state. He joined and competed in one meet. He chose to leave the team due to demands that he wasn't ready to commet (at 10 years old), it took too much time away from other activities and from friends.

But I do recommend the classes to both boys and girls !!

The facility is clean and the staff is very friendly. They have a wonderful viewing area and even a playroom. All the equiptment is clean and in great condition. They have pretty good rates, too.

PROS: Your kids will really learn a lot
CONS: It is located behind a building (maybe hard to find)
