Joseph Golshani, CEO of Joseph & Friends Salon & Day Spa, traveled to the U.S. in 1977 to pursue an education in mechanical engineering. With the monetary demands of higher education, Joseph resorted to cutting his own hair as a means to save money. It wasn't long before his friends realized his ability and began making requests that he cut their own. Joseph befriended a stylist who encouraged him to cultivate his talent by attending cosmetology school. Joseph's competence as a stylist was substantiated when he won a student hair-cutting competition. As a result, he was invited to work for one of the judge's salons. It was there that Joseph earned a loyal clientele. And realizing the lack of high-quality salons in the Atlanta area, Joseph ventured into opening his own. With the help of his wife Behnaz, and his family, the first Joseph & Friends salon was established in 1989.

This is a great Aveda salon. The staff is appropriately hip and cool, so you know you are going to get a great haircut based on their looks alone. The prices are good for the quality of cut and beautiful atmosphere

Excellent staff, pricey treatments and services, but overall a great experience. I always find myself spending more than I had intended when I visit this spa, but I keep going back! They have numerous locations and may levels of stylists, so let them know how much you're looking to spend and they'll match you with the correct person.

I just found the best salon in Duluth on Medlock Bridge Road. Michelle colored and cut my hair and I feel 10 years younger. I highly recommend this salon. The staff is extremely friendly.

Coming here is a soothing and relaxing experience. The staff is friendly and very good at what they do. The use a lot of more natural products. You can get Aveda products here if you like them. I think they are opening another branch near McGinnis Ferry.
PROS: great staff, relaxing atmosphere

This spa uses lots of natural ingredients to beautify you, and everyone there does a pretty good job of making you feel welcome. You'll also be able to find Aveda products that you may want to take home and use for maintenance until you can visit again.
