Good food at a reasonable price

by Ellen L.

This restaurant serves good food at a reasonable price. The food servers accommodate families with children. It is a small place with a hometown style.

Decent Mexican Food

by Theena N. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,486

I first went here on recommendation from a friend. The food was pretty good. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was very nice. I felt like I got a lot of food for the money I spent so i was pretty pleased.

can you say salt block?

by linda g. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 11,875

the food is masked by salt. The tao, salt. the rice, salt, the beans salt
the salsa, salt. Oh ya did I say the food is salty. I meant its SALTY,
If it wasnt for the salt the food would have no flavor

Small place, but great food.

by Hannah S. | insider Insider | Rank: 18,248

If you like mexican food in big portions and very reasonable prices, check out this little place on El Camino. I've only been there a couple of times, but I'll definately be going back. It is not a place you would necessarily notice if you didn't know it was there, but it is certainly worth trying. It's a pretty casual place, so don't go expecting a formal dinner. Try it! They've got wonderful food!

Favorite Mexican Restaurant

by BrendaKashuba

I love the beef tacos so much at El Caminito that I haven't ventured out much to try other things. But I will drive way out of my way to go there. Not a place to go when you are on a diet though - lots of yummy stuff to treat yourself with. I definitely recommend this place.

Casual atmosphere, great food- and they deliver!

by chimera77

My boyfriend and I found this place by accident one day and decided to give it a try. I've been back twice and have been happy with everything I've ordered. Their deep fried taquitos are my favorite and the chips and salsa that they bring out before the meal has always tasted fresh. This is a casual place- somewhere you would go if you feel like having dinner without getting all dressed up. The waitstaff is friendly, but not necessarily speedy. Although the restraunt is small, there hasn't ever been a wait for seating. A huge plus is that they deliver, which I haven't seen from any other mexican places. Overall I'm happy with this place and I will keep going back!

Pros: good food, reasonably priced

Cons: service can be a little slow

Don't let the outside fool you.

by bayareaeaters

The food was very good and even better as leftovers the next day. The staff was friendly, and the ambience of the restaurant was warm.

Pros: large portions
