I have used this vet clinic for at least 15 years. All of my animals have been treated extremely well. Dr. White and her staff are very compassionate and helpful.

I was referred to this animal hospital through a friend who is an animal lover and would only consider the best for her 'babies'. Dr. Shoppa is awesome and every other vet I have had here is kind and considerate of my pets. I even adopted a kitten from them after someone found her wondering around in the desert. They boarded and provided medical attention for the 8 week old before I recieved a message that she needed a home. I drive 25 minutes just to take my pets here!

I WENT TO LONE MOUNTIAN ANIMAL HOSPITAL AND WAS TOLD MY DOG NEEDS AN IMMEDIATE OPERATION FOR THE AN 'ESTIMATE' OF $2,500.00 (AND I WAS REMINDED REPEATEDLY THAT WAS AN ESTIAMTE), BUT AN 'ESTIMATE' OF $1,547.00 IS NEEDED BEFORE THEY CONSIDER HER LIFE OR DEATH OPERATION. THEY GAVE ME TWO PERSCRIPTIONS TO FILL AND A 'CALL US WHEN YOU HAVE THE MONEY.' I WENT TO CIVIC CENTER ANIMAL HOSPITAL ON CIVIC CENTER AND LAKE MEAD AND BEFORE I KNEW WHAT WAS GOING ON DR. GOLDMEN WAS ADMITTING MY DOG AND PREPARING FOR AN EMRGENCY OPERATION, WHILE NANCI (HIS WIFE AND RECEPTIONIST) WAS GIVING ME A PAYMENT PLAN. AFTER THE COMPLETING THE SURGERY, (ABOUT 9:30-10:00 PM) DR. GOLDMEN, HIMSELF CALLED TO LET ME KNOW THE OUTCOME. HE APOLOGIZED FOR IT BEING SO LATE, BUT HE WANTED TO WAIT FOR CURLEY TO WAKE UP ON HER OWN (HOW GR8 IS THAT?!). HE PROCEEDED TO TELL ME THAT LONE MOUNTIAN ANIMAL HOSPITAL WAS WRONG ON THEIR DIAGNOSIS AND CURLEY HAD THE MOST CANCER DR. GOLDMEN HAD EVER WITNESSED. NEEDLESS TO SAY MY DOG, CURLEY IS HAPPY, HEALTHY AND HERE WITH ME FOR THE SUM OF $700.00. I CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT DR. GOLDMEN AND NANCI. 702-642-2625 IS THEIR #. DO YOU AND YOUR PET A FAVOR AND CALL THEM. JACKIE, A VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER. OH AND DR. GOLDMEN LIKES STRAWBERRY PIE AND FRIED CHICKEN IF YOU EVER WANTED TO GIVE HIM A PERSONAL 'THANK YOU!'

Pros: CAN'T THINK OF ONE, YES I CAN, THEY ARE CLOSE TO MY HOUSE

Cons: TOO MANY TO LIST

This is a great clinic. We've had our dog in to have surgery and our cat and they have been taken such good care of. However the only thing I would have to say is a downfall is the front office staff. There are a few girls that are very nice and helpful but for the most part the girls that answer the phone are short and rude and not very forth coming with information.

Also we recently had our cat spade there, took her home and noticed that she had a gouge in her leg. It looked awful and no one told me about it when I picked her up. When I called to find out what happened I was told to bring her in. I packed up my poor kitty and took her in only to be told that it was a clipper mishap and she got gouged by a bent clipper tooth. Had the front office staff checked with the vet like I had asked several times on the phone I would not have had to pack my poor kitty up and stress her out to find this information out.

The vets are so kind and good with the animals that if you can get past the lack of service the front office staff gives, it makes it worth while. (the front office staff aren't the ones taking care of your furry friends.)

PRO: they give a military discount.

The moment I brought my 2 kittens, Pepper and Pebbles, in to have surgery, the staff were so welcoming and nice. They made me feel like I had been going there for years and it was my first time! After the surgery they had even called to see how the kittens were feeling. I won't be taking my little girls to any other place but here!

This place is great. No matter which Dr is going to take care of your pet, you can be sure it will be a very good experience for you and your pet. They have a great staff and the place is always clean.

PROS: I like the idea of a separate entrance for cats and dogs
CONS:

We had an emergency with our 18 yr. old cat who was having an allergic reaction to flea medication and was having seizures. We took her to this facility and they literally saved her life. They did virtually everything they would do on a human to stabilize her and bring her back to health. They kept us informed all the way as to what they were doing and how much it would cost. They called after we brought her home and the next day to make sure she was all right. I would highly recommend them.

I liked this hospital because they didn't turn me away when my ferret was hurt, they open at 7am and there were three vets there that not only care for ferrets but actually like them too (which can be hard to find). They were a little pricey but, from my ltd. experience all vets are.
On the flip side, once I paid for the services, I came back to pick up my ferret and was stuck waiting in a room for 40 minutes before anyone came in to talk to me (I had to retrieve the receptionist, to remind her that I was still waiting).
Bottom line? They took care of my ferret and he was back on his feet the next day. I would go back there again.
