My name is Eric T. Simmons Sr. I am writing to request a pardon from the Governor, So that I may purchase a hand gun. I have never owned a gun before in my life. but it has come a time when I think I may need one for the protection of my home. This is my wifw's and I first home. We are an older couple, and wish the right to protect ourselves from vandalism and want-to-be thugs. I have lived at 7439 Indiana Ave. for 3 years and I bother nobody. Since living here my house has been vandalized twice. I attempted to purchase a hand gun pprotection only to find out that something is stopping me from getting one as a result of something waay back in1968, in Chiicago, Illinois. I am a long time pass this. I vote I work , Ipay my taxes, and I consider my self a model citizen. What can I do to over come this problem so that I maay have the right to protect my family. The policeman that I spoke with over the phone, suggested I request a pardon from the mayor. Can you help me?
Thank You
Eric T. Simmons Sr.
