If it were not for the expertise of Dr Gintis and Dr. Bost, our beloved 4 1/2 year old Brittany--Brody, would surely be dead. But they saved him! Just before Valentines day, Brody started getting strange symptoms--pain, limping, strange lumps on leg and snout, swelling in testicles, high fever, weight loss, refused to eat, rapid and difficult breathing. Dr. Bost ordered a chest xray which she showed to us, and his lungs were almost completely infiltrated with something--at that point she wasn't sure what it was, but took an educated guess based on his other symptoms that it could possibly be blastomycosis, a nasty fungus sometimes found in the soils of wet, swampy areas such as the shore lines of lakes and swamps. Dr Gintis saw Brody several days later, and agreed with this possible diagnosis. They also explained (in addition to fully answering our many questions), that to definitvely diagnosis blastomycosis, a diagnostic test called a bronchial wash must be performed, which was several thousand dollars. Dr Gintis showed us his vet book of various animal diseases, turned to the page for blastomycosis, and let us read that page. Brody had almost everything symptom listed in the book. so they began to treat him for this, prescribing both antibiotics and the expensive anti-fungal Sporanox. We ordered it online, and Brody took it for 2 months--his last dose will be tomorrow. Over the 2 month period his symptoms have completely gone away, and we'll be taking him for a check up in several days. Thanks so much to Drs. Bost and Gintis!!

Dr. Gintis seems to be a good doctor, however, the staff is poor. My dog had to be euthanized at an emergency clinic prior to an appt I had with this vet. I called to cancel the appt and the staff member only said we received the information from the emergency clinic and canceled the appt and then hung up on me. I was horrified at her insensitivity. There were no "sorry for your loss" or any condolences only a click on the other end of the line as she hung up on me.

Took my cat to get vaccinated here (after going to Magnolia last year) and the price was double what I was charged last year! The vet did a good job but seriously? In this economy I can't afford to use a vet that costs this much!

I've been going to SCAH for a number of years. First with my little Poppy - a Chihuahua mix I actually adopted by seeing his picture on SCAH's bulletin. He had seizures and then developed a heart condition. He got first rate care and attention and they were able to find a medication to stop his horrible seizures. Later when I had to have him put to sleep due to age and heart condition, it was done with care and sympathy. Then I got Ohso, another Chihuahua, and he too was treated with the greatest of care. Now I'm taking my little Chihuahua Rudi to them. From personal experience, I can highly recommend this vet hospital. Jean

I have been going to Dr. G and the other vets in the practice for 20 of the 21 years he has been in practice. Very knowledgable and caring. I have had mixed breeds and full blooded basenjis and he has been very good about researching my dogs symptoms to provide the best treatment for them. Two paws and two thumbs up.

I have had several pets over the past 35 years consisting of tarantulas, ferrets rabbits and dogs to name a few. I have used several vets in the Cary/Apex area. I have had only one negative experience at one emergency vet clinic. I can say with confidence that the vets and staff at Swift Creek Animal Hospital are the most qualified and caring you will find. I recommend this facility to every friend and my family members trust their pets with these doctors and staff.

My pet children have been going to SwiftCreek for 16yrs. I and my babies feel safeand taken care of. The Drs. and staff couldn't get any better. Smart,Funny, hardworking always willing to go the extra mile. When my babies are sick or had to go to heaven, the staff genuinely felt sadness for me and my babies. They do it for the right reasons to help the animals the don't charge high over priced fees, and try to talk you into something you or your animals don't need. Very honest, safe, clean, well run facility. Would never want to go anywhere else. Dr Creech and Dr Ginitis are wonderful and all of our boxers and cats agree!!!

I've known Warren for 25 years and he has always done an excellent job handling the care of my pets. His staff is always personable and tries to accomodate your scheduling needs in any way they can. In addition, his prices are always reasonable.

Dr. Gintis & Dr. Creech saved my little poodles life 5 years ago! I am forever grateful for their love, care and concern for her, and myself, during that horrible ordeal. They have always spent quality time with us during our visits, I never feel rushed, and they explain things to where "I" can understand without using all the big medical terms. I LOVE this vet, the doctors, and the front desk staff - they are ALL very friendly, helpful, and quick to serve. The "only" thing I don't like is the entrance and exit, expecially during highpeak traffic hours. GWE

You could not find a more caring or dedicated group of doctors and staff. These people all love animals and it shows. We've been taking our cats here for 11 years and the service level has always been great - rarely spend any time waiting (how unusual is that at any kind of doctors?), everyone is always so gentle with our pets and they always take the time to explain exactly what they find and any courses of treatment that are required. If our cats could talk they'd tell you that though they still hate going to the "vet", these are really fine, caring people.

This is such an awesome animal hospital. Good, honest medicine is practiced here--no gimics to make you buy goods or services you don't need. Dr. Gintis really takes his time to treat the patient and educate the owner. And he's not afraid to refer if a specialty procedure is needed. A great place to bring your pet!
