We wanted to grab a quick breakfast bite before heading home, and we saw this "cafe." First of all, we should've known it was an awful tourist trap by the location. The coffee is gross. You could get it at your local McD's for a fraction of the cost. The pastries were meh. They tasted fine, but cost way too much. For 2 coffee drinks and 2 pastry twists i spent about $11. What a waste of time and money. I would say that the paninis looked appetizing, but I really doubt they are. Please, take a walk 2 blocks in any direction and find yourself some real food.

Pros: conveinent to tourist attractions

Cons: overpriced, dirty tables, mediocre food, horrible coffee

EMPIRE STATE BUILDING LOCATION-

first of all, this deli has everything every other deli has: the same bagels, paninis, and foods that every other deli gets from the same mass distribution centers etc. They will not make breakfast after 11..which you CAN get from any corner deli. They chop up salads but the put meat in the salad shredders labeled "no meat"- which is terrible if you are vegetarian or don't eat dairy and so forth. Also the ice in the ice machine is dirty and tastes terrible.

Overall the biggest problem is that they charge twice what every other deli does for the same exact food (which is not actually fresh): tiny iced coffee for over $2, mix in salads are over $10 for a few ingredients.

You're best off going across the street to a local deli and getting much better service for half the price. Ray's across the street on 33rd has great iced coffee for $1.50.

Pros: convenience

Cons: terribly overpriced-the servers scream at you

Although the food LOOKS OK - and actually looks appetizing, it is bland and tasteless. Worst of all it is extremely pricey.

I tried it for both breakfast and lunch - because it is close to my office - and both times I was disappointed in the quality of the food.

Pros: Quick Service

Cons: Tasteless Food, Overpriced

Warning! Pass over this one for morning bagels... they don't have a toaster (!), and they give cream cheese in those little plastic cups. The street vendor outside is much tastier. Who needs this in the morning?!? Get with the program, Cafe Europa.
