The staff at Farrell Vet Clinic are an outstanding group of people who always make me and my pets feel welcome and comfortable. I know that when my pets are sick they will fit me in the same day I call and that they work around my schedule. They have some evening hours and Saturday morning appointments which makes it easier with my work schedule. Overall I have been very pleased to call them my vets!!

I took my cat to Dr Gabig because she was not grooming herself and was having problems eating. She showed me the very loose tooth my cat had and told me to make another appt for a dental exam. I asked if she could just pull it because it looked as if it was close to falling out and as I said she was having problems eating...nope "make another appt". I was not happy when I left. My husband and I removed the tooth ourselves a week later and by then she had lost a few of the smaller teeth around the original problem tooth. She now drools when she gets really relaxed or is sleeping. Would NOT recommend Gabig.

Business Response:

Dental health in pets is very important, as their dental health can have impact on their other body functions & organs. Sometimes loose teeth can just "fall out", but without going in and cleaning out the pocket that the tooth leaves, your pet may have issues with infection after the tooth itself is gone. Most dental health issues occur under the gum line, where the human eye cannot visualize. Imagine having a constant bad tooth with infection under the gumline, eating would be painful. The best course of action would be to remove the tooth and clean the root pocket. We go to the dentist for our own teeth when there are issues and for preventative care. We should do the same for our pets.

The staff at Farrell were great with working with my 13 year old dog. They noticed a solid mass in my dogs bladder and did not know if it was cancer or a stone, since they looked the same on the Xray. Once inside, they found a stone the size of a golfball. My other dog does not enjoy walking into the vet, but once inside the staff makes her feel comfortable with is great for me. I love taking my dogs to Farrell

My family used Farrell's when I was a child for all our animals.
When our cat got cut up by those things that come along the side of the road in the coutnry areas... They sent a handwritten very personal sympathy card(not very common back then) Also, my mother just informed me recently.. they also donated the fee we paid them in our cat's name to a charity to help other cats (she doesn't remember the charity)
I have 3 kittens now who's mother was killed when they were 1 week.
I don't have a lot of money (hardly any at all) I called about a dozen vets in my area, and all wanted 45+ dollars PER CAT just too look at athem. Farrell's has a "litter check" for less than the other vets charge for just one...
I drove the 30 minutes (give or take) to go there. They have done a LOT to help me.. way above and beyond what I expected. There are a few thigns that I do not wnat to list because someone may see them and say "well why didn't they do that for me" and get mad about it (some people aredumb ) and i wouldn't want to cause trouble.. but...
The babies were all healthy so nothing had to be done excpet to look them over(which is all I wanted).. and their vet tech helped me with some of the details on how to take care of them ie how to stimulate etc(more details than online sites). They have also given me TONS of advice over the phone in the last 4 weeks.

I'm not sure their exact hours, but I went on a Tuesday and they were open until 7pm, which I know a lot of vets aren't.

.
I'm going again tomorrow because one of the babies is having an eye problem.

Update on Saturday May 5th
All that was written on Wednesday. They gave me an antibiotic for the one babies eye (conjunctivitis) and then looked at the other ones too to make sure they were healthy and developing correctly.
Then, just now, (1230 pm) they called to see how he was doing, which i don't know but I think isn't all that common.

I was also not impressed by Farrell. They misdiagnosed my dogs, saying they had something they didn't and acted like they either didn't like my german shepherd, or were afraid of him(he did not show any aggresion). Their prices are high compared to other vets. Even though I live close to them, I will not go back.

Farrell Veterinary Clinic did not impress me when we had a sick dog. They ran tests and said they could find nothing wrong with our dog. Obviously sometime was wrong with her, she ended up dying. They do not have very good hours, and only have doctors in the office part of the time. Their prices are through the roof as well. I would not have went to this particular vet had it not been an emergency, and probably will not go back.
