To be fair, the store itself has been friendly and my Westie loves going there and getting a lot of attention. But, I would definitely stay AWAY from the grooming service at this location. I brought my puppy in and specifically told them

The trainer we had was fantastic, lots of personal attention, lots of enthusiasm. It was easy to see he was passionate about working with animals, and he helped us make serious progress with our young lab-mix. The course wasn't particularly insightful, but the personal attention and the weekly classes helped keep us on track. Training a young dog takes patience, time, and focus. It was great to have support. Plus - you can find coupons and sales on their classes. Great deal!

Also, during our training classes they gave us a coupon for a free nail trim ($9 value). This is a truly great service. Our dog *hates* having her nails done, it always ends in fights, wrestling, scratches and more. It was great to walk in and 10 minutes later everyone's happy and her nails are short!

Pros: fun and excited trainer, experienced groomers

I took my cat there to get vaccinated. I was told that he should take a series of vaccines and I could also give him an anti-allergic medicine to avoid reaction. I asked not once, but TWICE if it wouldn't be better to give a couple of vaccines in one day and wait a couple more days to give the rest. It's sufice to say that the veterinary and the assistants told me that it would be okay, no problem. Well, well....At first I didn;t like the fact that the veterinary name with all the degrees hanging on the wall was not the person who gave the cat the vaccine. How do I know? A simple gender comparison....on the diploma on the wall was a male name and the person who gave the shot was a woman. What happened in the following hour? A big allergic reaction....I couldn't take the cat back to the petsmart, because the vets had already left...oh yeah....I wonder....
Then they gave me a list of emergency clinics for me to take the cat....Oh great....300 bucks later and hours and hours of being worried as hell about my cat's health, the clinic staff was able to help him......What did the vet from the clinic told me? From the 5 (or 4) vaccines that your cat was given, I wouldn't give 2 of them. One, because he is strictly indoors and the other is a highly questionable vaccine......She also told me that they should have informed me....right...like they wanted to lose the extra money...DON'T TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES THERE!!! Choose a clinic that will have staff available for any emergency that may come up.

Pros: None

Cons: Shameful veterinary

I have been going to this petsmart for grooming for over a year now and I love it. Most of the groomers know my dog and he really likes going there. They're very friendly and on days I can't pick him up for a long time, they've even played with him. If I didn't like how his hair was cut, I'd explain it when I picked him up and they would fix it then and there. The only thing I sometimes get bothered by is that they often forget to clip that last nail in his paws that's kinda lower than the rest of his nails and also sometimes, they forget to call me to let me know he's done.

Pros: friendly groomers, clean, fairly fast

Cons: sometimes, they forget to clip a nail or two

NEVER take your dog here for grooming. They cut my dog's nipple off -- we ended up at the emergency vet getting stitches. To their credit, they paid for it. But they can't make up for the pain my dog endured. When I arrived to pick him up they didn't even let me know that he was bleeding and bleeding. I waited 30 minutes while they said they were putting the "finishing touches" on him before they told me there was a problem. It makes me wonder how long he was bleeding in his cage without notice. How can you hurt a dog while grooming and not even realize it?
