Up until recently, our 3 big doggies (unfortunately, two are now deceased due to cancer and old age) were happily groomed and stayed over on lovely vacations with BCPC.
The staff is always very nice to all of our family members, and cared for our Golden, German Shepherd, and Husky with love and affection. Miss Husky will continue going, and our new GSD girl puppy will carry on the tradition when we bring her home soon. Love BCPC!!!!

My dog has been going to 'summer camp' at Bucks County Pet Care for several years and I am extremely happy with this arrangement.
She's treated like one of the family, by the front desk staff and all of the aides. She gets excited as we approach the driveway leading onto the grounds.
I would be hard-pressed to find words that can express my gratitude when the staff saved her life this past June. They were swift enough to realize that she had a serious condition that needed immediate attention. They called me on my cell phone and then took her to the vet. Without their quick action, my dog would have died before I returned. I am in their debt.

Well I certainly wish I had read reviews myself, before I subjected my poor dog to 9 days at this place. Everything previous reviewers have said holds true. The woman at the desk is unbelievably rude, acting as though your inconveniencing her for dropping off/ picking up or Heaven forbid, asking any questions. My dog lost 5 of her 25 pounds while there and yet the woman at the desk insisted that she ate well and was fine the entire time. Not once was I contacted and informed that my dog wasn't eating. What a pathetic excuse for a caregiving facility. If I thought I could, I'd put them out of business.

I was very unhappy with the service I received at this kennel. I can't say like maybe some others can that my dog had a bad experience, but I know I did. I'm not a crazy pet owner that requires pampering of my 90+ lb dog nor do I expect a special service for my animal. But to treat me (the paying customer) as if I'm below you on the food chain, is ridiculous.
The customer service I received from the blond haired women at the front has turned me off to this kennel forever. No smiles, no thank you, no friendly greeting, NOTHING. When I asked what the dogs do, how they're cared for, and their daily routine...I was told in a dry sarcastic manner "well we softly wake them up, then take them outside, play some tennis, maybe watch a movie" I chuckled , she followed with " they're dogs, they're in their cage and small outside area...she'll be fine". That didn't sit well with me. After dropping her off I followed with a phone call a day later making sure my dog was being administered her antibiotic...and that she was taking it without fuss. I was told on the phone that "yes, she is. Don't worry about us doing our job" by the same front desk women. Now I'm 150 miles away and fuming mad.
The day before pick-up, I needed to clarify pick up time...my wife mentioned on Sundays pick up is only between 5pm - 6 pm. I called in with the ? and was told by the same women "I'm lucky there is even a Sunday pick-up" She blabbed on about how if it were up to her, there would be no Sunday pick-up and who am I to be calling in concerned whether the dog even gets care on Sundays, since I thought that maybe no one is there. All & all, a horrible experience. If you don't believe me, call her up and ask a lot of ?'s...hear for yourself.

I am sad to report that my dog had a terrible experience while staying at Bucks County Pet Care. When I picked him up I was told "He did great - nice dog!" However, when he was brought to me not only was he visibly thinner, but he stunk of urine - as did his blanket. We were told not to bother bringing bedding, but my daughter insisted, so they took it for us. It was handed back to me soaking wet with urine and the worker assured me that "It was just water". When I inquired further due to the odor, she told me that he had simply spilled his water dish. I left, and upon walking outside, my dog urinated, and urinated, and urinated .... and urinated!!! At that point I put two and two together.
The kennel is set up so that dogs have an inside area to sleep in with an outside pen attached so that they can go out to use the bathroom - I assume through a doggie door. Admittedly, my dog is a bit of a sissy and may have been afraid to leave his kennel to use the bathroom. However, I would think that someone would have become aware of that at some point during the week. ESPECIALLY since I paid extra money for him to have free playtime daily. Did I expect that he would have CONSTANT supervision? No, but I would HOPE that if a dog is not eating (he lost 5 of his 40 pounds that week) and his cage stinks of urine that someone would notice. Bottom line, it cost me $250 to board him for the week, and another $200 in vet fees and medication. I believe the level of care and attention given to the dogs is thoroughly sub par. I am now administering antibiotics 3 times a day at 8 hour intervals for 2 weeks. And those are just my complaints. My poor dog is still suffering with an horrendous bladder infection.
