RE: 2013 and Jan 2014 Been there many times. Wife New radio & Blue tooth hook-up. Me: New Radio/Nav w/everything, Back-up & side camera's, LED lighting inside front/back & under, LED side running lights, Complete/Full detail. We've worked w/Steve/in-store, Kevin/Shop Install Supervisor, & Brad/Installer. These 3 are GREAT! From others, MANY compliments & Thank You's. GREAT staff!

CAR TOYS installed leather on both my 2011 KIA Soul and a red one belonging to Ron Tonkin KIA and completely ruined the leather leaving "snail trail" type marks on the leather on both vehicles. Ron Tonkin KIA recommended CAR TOYS to me because they are an "approved vendor" for the dealership.

CAR TOYS blamed the leather manufacturer, but the damages were caused by their lack of experience installing leather. CAR TOYS has only been installing leather in the Portland area for less than a month. They had their leather installation training just last week while my vehicle was in their shop.

During the installation of leather into my vehicle, CAR TOYS damaged several molding parts and damaged the paint on my brand new Soul. Ron Tonkin KIA took care of having the paint damage repaired and charged CAR TOYS for their negligence and damage to my vehicle.

The leather manufacturer offered to replace the two leather kits, but CAR TOYS is not standing behind their work. Another company who specializes in leather installation (and approved by the manufacturer) ordered another leather kit for me, but David Wilson of CAR TOYS placed pressure on the manufacturer and had the order canceled. In a meeting at the dealership, both John Neiger and Scott Ragsdale of CAR TOYS admitted to this fact.

CAR TOYS handled this whole situation in the most unprofessional and underhanded way and provided the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Went there to buy a stereo set up I'd seen in an ad. Price was advertised with installation (fine print said in most cars). Of course I knew beforehand installation would not end up being free, and I'd already priced out what it was worth

I had them install an alarm system in my car a couple of years back and they did a good job. Since then I have went to them for other car electronic needs. They seem to know what they are talking about which is good since I do not know much about installation.

Had a GPS put in my car and they said about 2 hours which actually took about 4. Also like one of the other reviewers, they were very friendly at first, but after the install, I had a question about the GPS and the sales person seemed very frustrated to show me how to use it. I guess it works so that is why I didn't give a 1, but I still was not happy with the overal service

These people do not know what they are doing and they are a bunch of liars. They will break your car and then not bother to fix it.

I took my 2002 Civic in to have a basic stereo and amplifier installed. When I got the car back, the SRS light was on. We have owned this car for three years and never before has this light been on. I took it back and wasted about an hour and half of my time for them to reset it. When they were unable to reset it, they had then nerve to say, "oh the light was on when it came it, there is nothing we can do"

I can understand that people make mistakes(even though at the price they charge they should know what the hell they are doing), but to try and tell me it was broken before it came in really makes me mad. I will never shop with Car Toys again and I the rest you don't make the same mistake I did.

The install took 6 hours instead of 3-4 as quoted and when I went back in the store to pick up my car it was as if they had never seen me before! The guy just basically handed me my keys in said, "It's out in back." That's it! No explanation of how the install went, no going out to the car with me to show me how it worked -- NOTHING! I even had to ask about the original box (which was in the car).

Car toys, here's a hint for you -- a customer is someone you're good to before and AFTER the sale. Not only would I NOT recommend them based on my experience, I would actively tell people to avoid them!
