I agree that their agents are illiterate. I had an active Chapter 13 bankruptcy that was protecting my vehicle. Their agents stalked me relentlessly, even though they were told to stop. One day they located my vehicle and hooked it up. While still on my property, I heard them and went outside. Mind you we are on MY property. I did what my lawyer told me to do: Inform them of the case number and tell them that they are "breaching the peace" and that they need to leave. They refused. In fact, they laughed. I sat on the bar that connected my car to their truck, and the toothless repo man PUSHED ME OFF OF IT, called me a few filthy names, and had the driver squeal off with my truck. When I got it back, they had ruined the transmission from towing it over 50 miles in 4 wheel drive with the drive wheels down. They also STOLE everything out of my vehicle. Just like the other reviewer, they did not send me a letter noting the contents of my vehicle, as they claimed. In addition, the broke out one of my windows, damaged the drivers side door lock, and tried to pry my running boards off with a screwdriver, and keyed both sides out of spite.

These people need to learn how to read VIN numbers. They knowingly, deliberately, blatantly STOLE my car right out of my driveway. They were actually looking for a neighbor's car of a similar make and model. NOT EVEN THE SAME COLOR! Anyway, I was on vacation when my car was "reposessed". I arrived home 14 days later to find my car gone. I called the police to report it, and apparently Allied Recovery had already logged the "repo" with the police. Needless to say, the police now treat me like white trash.

To my horror, when I arrived with my attorney to pick up my car at their location, they had taken everything out of my car! They claimed they had sent me a letter offering to let me claim my belongings, but they never did. If there was a letter, it probably went to whomever was REALLY having their car repo'd. Due to "privacy concerns" they wouldn't tell me who likely got this letter.

Long story short, their secretaries are now enjoying several thousand dollars worth of my VERY expensive clothing that was in a box in the trunk headed for the drycleaners. I never got anything back!

I want to hear from anyone else that has had a problem with them so we can launch a class-action suit against them.

ALLIED RECOVERY VIOLATES OREGON LAW AND NEEDS TO BE STOPPED.
