Is one of the BEST diagnosticians in the area - even over the university clinic. Gets it right with the right treatment plan, with options appropriate to your finances (and doesn't make you feel lousy if you can't afford the most rigorous treatment).
However, if your pet NEEDS the more rigorous (possibly $$) treatment, she will advocate for the pet and their health, and give you reasons why, and work out a solution that best serves the situation. Does not have you 'spend money just to spend money', but will advocate for the right thing for the pet. Will freely admit when she doesn't know right then, but will do research/consult with others- which tells me that my pet's care is primary, not her ego.

Will listen to your insights/concerns/ideas, and will incorporate them into the pet's care if appropriate, but isn't afraid to call out a red herring (if you're wrong)- but is tactful and diplomatic about it, too. She advocates for the animal, even when the well-meaning owner (me) has gone off the deep end!

Have found that when I have to go to other vets (because she's not available and pet needs to be seen ASAP), I ALWAYS end up coming back to her for the second appointment (and she gets the diagnosis & treatment plan right- many don't).

Many UI veterinary staffers (non-clinical and office staff) bring their pets to this clinic for care (even though they get a 10% discount at their work)- there's a big clue there!
