We had been to this clinic a few years ago and had mixed results. We liked Dr. Chase but often had trouble getting appointments. Dr. Caffarella attempted to treat a problem puppy we had, and although she was persistent, she really was clueless and in the end had nothing to do with resolving the problem (which was dietary). We recently had our new puppy spayed here and it took over a week for her to recover. I've had many puppies over the years and I've never seen anything like this.

Before the "big day" we were quoted a price and other instructions. We were told the stitches could be removed in 7 days after the op. When we went to pick her up the place was jammed with people, animals and doctors - very hectic and disorganized atmosphere. We were given the bill which was more than originally quoted, so we had to wait to talk to someone about that (they charged us for an exam even though no exam was given, and even after contesting the charge, they refused to take it off.....) After paying the bill, they told us it would have to be 10 days until the stitches could be removed (and didn't say why....). After waiting quite a while, they finally handed the dog to us and quickly ushered us out the door with no after-care instructions (found out later on that they were written on the receipt). When we got home it was easy to see why the dog was handed to us, and why it would take 10 vs 7 days before we could remove the stitches. The dog needed every once of pain medication. I've had several puppies over the years and never saw a dog take so long to recover. It's been years since I've seen a dog spayed with actual stitches that needed to be removed (there are newer and better methods today....) but I never had such problems with any other puppies getting spayed that way.

They clearly are very disorganized and more concerned with their turnover and profit than the actual animals.

My 13 year old dog, Nickie, has been a patient of Dr. Chase and his staff since her first visit when she was just 8 weeks old. She has always received excellent care from warm, friendly and extremely competent professionals... from the reception staff, vet techs, the veterinarians and, especially, Dr. Chase himself. Her care has run the gambit from yearly check-ups and inoculations to surgeries; my concerns and questions were always addressed and answered, we were squeezed in for appointments when necessary and always treated with extreme kindness and professionalism. I highly recommend this Veterinary practice.

I have 3 animals I've taken here for the last 7 years. Been very happy with them until one animal became ill. Had to bring my cat back & fourth for 4 months for several reasons, reason not being any fault to the vet, she was just ill.
The staff made me feel like I was a pain in the you know what! Took too long to get an appointment (even for an emergency). After several options & different referrals, I had to put my cat down. She had been bleeding perfusly from the mouth & nose and hadn't eaten in a long time, I made the call to have her put down that night. Crying & them knowing what I've been through with this cat, they said they couldn't until 2 days, they were too busy! I even offered to be the very last person & still denied! I had to watch my cat die that evening......suffering!
I thought they had a heart, not consider my animal another dollar bill walking in!!!!!
