I live right around the corner. For a year I hesitated going in because the cheesy sign reading HOME on the building made me think it was a Dennys or a place with bad food. When I finally went there I was blown away the food is exceptional - very good and there is lots of it. The service however is so slow and the waiters have little personality. Each time the girl that was waiting on us left the table she would be gone for twenty minutes a pop. If they just get a top notch waiting staff in there they will be set. PS the parking sucks so get ready to wait for you car at the Valet.

Met a past coworker for lunch here after we learned the Kitchen was closed for lunch. Great place, and quite quaint. Enjoyed eating outside under the trees next to a Koi pond.
Both the Potato Skins and Meatloaf Sandwich were excellent. Really enjoyed the spices on the Meatloaf Sandwich.
Definitely, looking forward to returning.

My boyfriend and I have eaten here a few times. I think we have tried every meal time of the day and have never been disappointed. They have a breakfast burrito that is huge and could really feed two people. The dinner entrees they offer are some great comfort food favorites and all of the salads I have eaten or seen pass by would not dissapoint. The staff is also very nice - from the person who greets you at the door to the busboys, they are all very nice and give great service. I think our favorite waiter is Bryce...he was our first ;)

I have been to Home Restaurant twice for dinner. The first time both the service and the food were excellent. This evening the service was awful although the food was good and tasty as expected.
The waiter who served us this evening had no charm, experience or savvy about how to handle guests, provide them with a satisfying evening or even how to take the orders accurately.
I will go there a third time but if the wait staff has not improved that will be the last time.
Pros: Great menu with lots of choices
Cons: Ignorant, inexperienced wait staff

Breakfast...yummy !!! what else can I say and served all day, Lunch....tasty and good, Dinner....great and the
Drinks....ooooh so delicious !!! and happy hour monday-friday 4-7 pm
Great variety of food, trust me anything you order you will love. The service is great and very attentive, all the hosts,waiters and managers are excellent and sweethearts... cozy, relaxing atmosphere . I keep going back and am never disappointed =) My friends, my family, and everyone I have taken have loved it. And now they have tuesday JAZZ nights.

Friendly staff, full menu, great environment. Spent the entire evening there. Had a meal, then relaxed at the bar. Great prices and a good mix of people. My favorite part has got to be the patio. Absolutely beautiful.

Cons: Too many options. Not recommended for the indecisive.

This place is like a little oasis on back end of the Silver Lake Reservoir. I was coming into Silver Lake from Eagle Rock a few days ago, and hungry as can be. I saw the familiar name of HOME Restaurant, and decided to park and have lunch. I don't necessarily care for their valet service during lunch, so I parked on the street. THERE'S PLENTY OF STREET PARKING ON RIVERSIDE RD. Anyway, I got greeted by, like 3 people, sat right away, and before I knew it, my delicious food was all in my belly-welly. I was so hungry that I don't remember what I had to eat; I do remember however, brousing through the nice outdoor patio and inside the restaurant which looks wonderful, while I waited for my food and enjoyed a delicious GREEN ICED TEA ... yeah, you heard right; they serve a De-licious green iced tea! Whatever I ended up eating was quite delicious, and the prices were very reasonable! The place is so spacious inside and out that I'm planning on having my birthday party there. You should check it out!
Pros: Green Iced Tea ... Tremendous patio ... Friendly as heck!
Cons: valet parking ... park outside; it's plentiful and FREE!
