Had Absolute Zero assigned by Old Republic. Robert, who seems to be the owner and only tech, came out, and diagnosed the issue to a bad controller on my AC. He "ordered" the part and told me to wait. After 4 weeks, and over 20 repeated attempts to call him without a response, Old Republic had to reassign my work order because even they weren't getting a response.
If you want follow-through on a fix, DO NOT use Robert at Absolute Zero. I will recommend to Old Republic to consider removing him from their list of contractors, since this is not the only complaint against them.

I wish I could assign a negative star rating because Absolute Zero is the worst. Not necessary to give a long, sad story but suffice to say Robert at Absolute Zero is unreliable, untrustworthy, and provides customer service that ranks at less than zero.
Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

I would rate it 0 if I could.

Initially had problems with AC (compressor freezing and compressor not turning on, leaking air handler in attic). Robert came out and topped off the refrigerant saying that was the only thing wrong. Less than a week later it froze up again. Contacted Robert to get him to come back out. He said since it was through Old Republic home warranty, I had to contact them.

I called ORHP and they sent Absolute Zero a re-issued work order. He never called, so I called him to try to schedule. He didn't return my call, so I texted him knowing he had been contacting me on his cell. Text went like this:

me: "Ru going 2 call & sched a service call or do I need 2 call ORHP and have them cancel your contract?"

him: "Who is this"
(i had been in contact with him at least 4 times before with the same phone number, and the phone number associated with the service call)

me: "XXXXXX. I called you tues about ac, you said you would call once ORHP sent u the work order, and u never did. i called again and left a msg thurs"

obviously, he never called back. I had to sit on hold on ORHP to file a complaint and find a new service company. Just because everyone's ACs are breaking in Texas does not give them the right to mistreat customers, especially since he screwed it up the first time.
