American Day Spa

I got a smart circle membership for Valentine's day, I did a pedi and mani and was told that it expired but I could use it for today. Six months from Feb. is August. The cashier didn't say what I should do or talk to. I wasn't fair that I lost out in what I'm sure would of been great service because the pedi and mani was excellent but the cashier wasn't.

If you are looking for a relaxing massage, but need work done on sports related pain or injuries, I have finally found the best of both worlds. Pua is the massage therapist at ADS and she is the best that I have ever experienced. She listens to your needs and is very attentive to problem areas and pain. She is the first therapist that I have gone to that was actually firm enough to relieve my pain and tension.

I highly recommend Pua, she is a fabulous asset to an already great day spa (see Elin for facials and waxing and Chrissy for haircuts - they are both wonderful.)

Everytime I go to American Day Spa, I have an unbelievable experience. The whole staff is very friendly and happy. I can't forget to mention my hairstylist, Chrissy ,she cuts and foils my hair perfect everytime. She is AMAZING! I would definetly recommend seeing her.

I've had a knot in my back since the Super Bowl. After trying two other spas I finally went to American Day Spa to see if they could fix the knot. This place is awesome. Diane fixed me in less than an hour. I went in for a 50 minute massage and came out feeling brand new. She worked my whole body but focused on that section on my back with the knot. The oils she used were warm and soothing but without an obnoxious scent. I left finally able to take a deep breathe without a sharp pain in my back. I highly recommend American Day Spa to anyone in need of a massage.

The best spa I have been to in a long time. To many times I walk out of a salon unhappy! Not here I can't wait for the next appointment!
Very comfortable, plenty of space not cramped and very clean.
My stylist Jeanmarie is great I can depend on here to make me laugh and enjoy my time at the spa,usually I can't wait to leave! Jeanmarie is wonderful, she knows what I want done and does what she says she is going to do!
The organic skin care products are also the best, I can't wait to try all the products!
The most friendly and caring people are at the desk to set you up with the service you need! Its about time there is a spa that I feel rates 5 stars. Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!

American Day Spa was the most amazing experiance. I was vistiting from New York and I stopped by for some services on a Saturday and I was pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the staff was. Both owners were present as well as a receptionist and they were so hands and attentive. I found American Day Spa through City Search and found both great reviews and some not so great reviews. I highly recommend those people who had a bad experience to return. not only for the wonderful staff but the most amazing massage and facial experience. Oh, they also had some delicious munchies. I just followed my long time hairdresser to American Day Spa. It was such a welcoming environment. They made me feel right at home as soon as I walked through the door. They offer such an array of services. I'm so glad I followed her there. I"m definately going back!

I just happened to see all the negative reviews when looking up the phone number for this place and couldn't believe it!

I followed my hairdresser (the lovely Jean-Marie) there a few months ago and have been happy with the front desk service and ecstatic about the waxing. I'm trying their pedi services tomorrow. I haven't tried any of the other hairdressers, but Jean-Marie has been doing my hair and color for years and people actually stop me on the street to tell me how much they love my hair!

I noticed the other reviews are much older, so, to those people who had bad experiences I would suggest trying the place again. It certainly appears to be a friendly, efficient place now. Try Jean Marie!

I went to American Day Spa about a year ago. I went because I had a coupon. Boy, I wish I never saw that coupon!

The girl there BUTCHERED my hair!! She did not do what I had asked at all. She had no clue what she was doing. She chopped off the hair on sides of my head! She cut it so terribly that I called to go back to TRY to have it fixed even though I knew it would be tough or impossible to fix this awful cut (they can't make the hair grow back!)
They told me that the same girl (I wish I could remember her name) had to do my hair again, that they wouldn't let another hairdresser try to fix it. I was not happy with that. Since this was the girl who messed it up in the first place, I knew she wouldn't be competent.
Anyway, she could not fix it.
When I was trying to work with her, she ended up saying that she could not fix it. When I left and said that she wasn't able to fix it, they were VERY RUDE!!!!!

It took me over a year to grow my hair back from that terrible haircut!!! THAT is how bad it was! No amount of money is worth that!

i went to this place 4 times and i've noticed poor customer service at the front desk ALL the 4 times..the ladies sitting at the front desk just say their own jokes behind the counter and laugh, once you are there..One word, very unprofessional...but there is one lady there, who is pretty nice, Kristen..donno if she is still there.

I would not recommend this place at all. I used to go here to get massages and loved them until the woman left. I also had my hair cut here once and it was an extremely amateur job. Since then, I have gone in to buy product since it is very close to where I live. They are rude at the front desk and very unprofessional. You will notice when you go in there it is always dead. I can see why. With so many choices in this area, it makes no sense to go to American Day Spa. You will be disappointed.

My girlfriends and I had started going here and then just tried to make appointments to go back and the customer service was HORRIBLE. The girl on the phone was rude and would not help us book appointments. I finally said that I guess I would try to find another salon and was told "Good, Thank you". She insisted we only see the people we had seen before, even though one was on vacation and my girlfriend wanted to try someone new. She was extremely rude. Don't Go Here!!!!

I used to travel to Manhattan and Newbury street to have my "salon teatments", but now I have found a place that has better service at a reasonable price. I use almost all of the services offered there. I am there so often I am probably paying their mortgage! Everyone that works there is always great and I am sending all my friends there.

For those of you who have complained....ask yourself....are you ever happy? This many rave reviews can't all be wrong!!

I do not know where to begin! The experience that I had along with my 2 girl friends was exquisite! The staff was wonderful and very accomadating to our personal needs and requests. After a full days worth of spa and hair services, we left American Day Spa feeling like brand new woman, ready for a fun night out. That night, we got stopped everywhere we went and were asked where we got our hair done. I will always speak very highly of American Day Spa and all of their employees. I can't wait to come back and recieve yet another terrific encounter. Thank you very much American Day Spa!!!!

The last time I went there I had a horrible experience. I went in to have my hair brought back to my original color, (blonde after being brunette) but after hours of having my hair stripped, they wanted to send me home with crayon red hair. I wasn't happy with it, so they stripped it again, and then dyed it, my hair ended up the exact same shade as I went in, and everyone raved about how great it looked. I was incredibly frustrated, and I didn't have time to fight them about it because I was late for another appointment, and the owner actually had the nerve to tell me that she knocked a $100 off. Give me a break! My bill was still a couple hundred dollars, and I left looking exactly the same as I went in there. And she tried to act as though she were doing me a favor.

I will never return to American Day Spa, and I would not recommend them after this experience.

I recently visited ADS (American Day Spa) for the first time with my best friend for a mani/pedi and had a wonderful experience! I used my 20% off coupon from Citysearch and recieved a fabulous mani/pedi in an extremely comfy pedicure chair. Our appointment was on time, we had friendly service, and the prices were very reasonable! I would highly recommend ADS to anyone for it's great service and affordability.

I brought 10 of my friends to American Day Spa for my 21st birthday. It was so awesome. We all got mini facials and 30-min massages. They brought in some great food and gave everyone little gifts to take home. The people were so nice and accommedating there. I highly recommend this place. They have great prices for the service they provide!

I used to love this place. I would come here whenever my schedule and budget would allow (about 12 times a year). Used to tell my friends about it. BUT The last THREE times I have been here have been stressful. Not exactly the feeling you want when you go to a "spa." Everyone has a bad day but three is a trend. I would go to get a bunch of services done all at once- NOT CHEAP. And most recently my stylist was late, the front desk staff was snooty, rude, talking about college exploits and quite offensive inappropriate things with the new owner who was loud and rather obnoxious. When I went to speak to her about my unhappy experience she did not make eye contact with me and talked around my issues as if she were brushing it off. I just want to be treated with respect and courtesy. I wasn't looking for anything free but maybe just an acknowledgement of my freedback. I know the ownership changed and with that it seems the customer service as well the cleanliness has become overlooked and just bad. I tried to overlook the small stuff like the dirt and the clumps of hair on the stairs and the staff stepping out with the door OPEN to smoke (gross). But when the owner herself treated me like I was insignificant - I felt as though I should warn those who may go there for a special occassion. I will not be returning.

From moving here from Connecticut, I was unsure about finding a new hair stylist that did just as good of a job as my stylist back home.

I've asked around about salons in the Belmont area, and the name that kept coming up was American Day Spa. As soon as I walked in, i was very comfortalbe with the friendly and welcoming staff.

The stylist did just what I asked, and even did a better job than I expected.
The same went with my brow and lip waxing. From what I had seen, the staff is very talented and confidant in what they do. All of their clients also seemed very pleased with their services. I plan on coming back to try out the other services they offer. I highly recommend this spa.

My boyfriend surprised me with a giftcard for a 'stress reliever' package. I was extremely delighted with the staffs hospitality. The massage and facial I recieved were remarkable and I look to becoming a lifelong customer.
