I need to have someone pushing me to keep from becoming the slovenly sofa-loving fat football watching wine-drinking miscreant that I am genetically programmed to be. Trainer Bud and Trainer Ed are the best and have created a personal program for me that works. Despite my best efforts, I have become lean and toned. I could never do this on my own or at one of the big gyms. These folks are the best!! (this is true!...not a paid endorsement!)
Pros: The best personal trainers. The most comfortable gym.
Cons: Me....I don't go enough!

i have had many trainers. professional, non professional, male and female.. I have never retained a trainer longer than 6 months outside of professional seasons.. which was many moons ago..it takes the right environment to have a person want to sculpt their body. which takes more than a work out. You need the right instructors that know nutrition as well as how to develop a person around individual old habits to create new one's.. for what they provide, they should be charging twice the amount...
Pros: most exclusive intimate fitness center
Cons: they actually work out!

Over a year ago, I was introduced to Studio 1-on-1 and it has proven to be life changing.
I?ve always been an athlete and the transition from college to the working world really took a toll on my body. Over the span of a year, my body changed for the worse even though I was attending a gym daily. Fed up, I decided to make a change. I was referred to Eddie and he has honestly changed my life and has been the best investment ever!
When I started, I could hardly lift 5lbs (embarrassing) and couldn?t do a single push up or pull up. Over the past year Eddie has pushed me to new limits with his CUSTOMIZED balanced workout routines and nutrition advice and my body has completely changed for the better. Not only can I lift over 20lbs, but I can do 15 pushups and a few pull-ups!!! He has truly been an inspiration for me and taught me to believe in myself and never feel defeated. Eddie has given me the gift of a new found confidence in myself which has not only changed me physically, but mentally as well.
Eddie knows how to fine tune a woman?s body and what exercises we need to maintain a feminine physique (I always worried that I?d look like Hulk Hogan by lifting weights). I highly recommend Eddie as a trainer- he will change your life and is not only a trainer but your workout partner.
Looking forward to my next work at Studio 1-ON-1?
Pros: Never the same workout!
Cons: I never know how many push-ups I'll have to do...

Excellent training environment with very detailed and guided personal training. I have lost 20 pounds since I began training with Alfredo and began the process of sculpting my body. The owner, Bud, is very personable and makes one feel comfortable. It has a "small community" feel and is the cleanest gym I have ever encountered. Of course, the prices are reasonable and you can achieve your goals. I highly recommend Studio 1 on 1.
Pros: personalized training, environment
Cons: None

I was introduced to Studio 1-on1 by my good friend and I think it is the BEST investment I have made (yes, investing in yourself actually is important). I have been training with Eddie after trying to get back in shape for over 8 months and in a matter of only four weeks, he has helped me fine tune some of my biggest kinks and I have made an incredible amount of progress. His knowledge and especially his support has really given me much needed self confidence.
The things he has taught me and the things I have learned about myself through him are life long lessons and key in maintaining and sustaining a healthy life style.
In particular, to all you women out there, he knows a woman's body very well and has plenty of ways in forming it the way you want. Eddie really understands what motivates us and we are made, as opposed to men.
The studio itself is impeccable with the latest and best machines. It is kept EXTREMELY clean and the rest of the staff is awesome.
I highly recommend paying a visit to studio 1-on1 if you are in need of a great summertime body or want to become more well balanced and in tune with your body.
Pros: Everything is great about this place...
Cons: I wish it were closer to my house

In the past I have always had a hard time being dedicated to my workouts, but the trainers at Studio 1 on 1 believe in me and show me that I have the ability to do anything. Not only do they show me how to do the correct style of workout for my needs but they encourage me to push my limits and do it the right way. My body has come so far in such a short amount of time...I never thought it was possible to look/feel this healthy.
Pros: Amazing Trainers that work with individual needs.
Cons: Theres a really hot trainer that distracts me...lol!

Bud Fallon's Studio One on One is the best training facility on the West Side. He has assembled the best collection of personal trainers whose knowledge in the areas of personal fitness and nutrition are superior. I have worked with 4 different trainers at Studio One on One and each were accredited, studied new techniques and pushed me to reach my goals. In two years, I've lost over 50 pounds and I'm in the best shape of my life.
Pros: Best collection of trainers on the West Side
Cons: Parking, no showers

I have major joint issues from an arthritis condition as well as old college injuries, which had diminished my ability to exercise over the last few years. When I joined up with Studio 1-on-1 on the advice of a friend, I was hoping I could work around my injuries in order to get back into shape. Working out with Bud over the last year, however, I've far surpassed where I thought I'd be. He really knows what he's doing, and through the course of the year, he's helped me get to the point where I can work out really hard again. And it's not just Bud-- the other trainers are on top of their game as well.
Pros: Excellent trainers, Well thought out space
Cons: none

Studio 1-On-1 is small but spacious, and all of the trainers are great -- professional and fun to work with. I always feel comfortable -- and challenged! I highly recommend this gym for new gym-goers. The trainers will help you get started, and will challenge you to always do better. Stop by and check it out!
Pros: great trainers, friendly vibe
Cons: none

All I have to say is" CHECK IT OUT FOR YOURSELF!" I love it at Studio 1 on 1. Working out is the only time in my busy day that I take for me, and I would not ever want to do it anywhere else. Even if I do not have much time, I can squeeze in a quick half hour session and feel great for the rest of my day. I highly recommend this private gym.
Pros: Flexible schedules, Access to cardio room whenever
Cons: NONE

The one thing you pick up on instantly upon entering Studio 1 on 1 is the supportive and playful atmosphere. It is obvious that both the trainers and the trainees they're torturing are enjoying the experience. I had never had a trainer before Studio 1 on 1. Now I see why they're so imperative if you truly wish to make a difference in your workout...or life, if you really decide to dig in and make it work.
When I first decided to give the place a try Bud, the owner, sized up my personality pretty quickly and put me with the trainer he felt best suited what I was all about. Bud could not have been more right on with his decision to put me with Todd. Since I'm a rather foul-mouthed, loud chick who's always striving to push, push, push Todd knew he could be a lot looser with his direction....and mouth...On the flipside, I've seen Todd working with other clients and he's nothing but a gentleman. Personally, I prefer someone in my face pushing me further than I would ever do if left on my own...but, to each his own...and the trainers adapt to YOUR needs.
The trainers here really chart your progress, know how to push, know when to add the next level and they're extraordinarily intuitive....about a lot of things, both professionally and privately.
I've completely changed my eating habits in the 16 months I've been coming to Studio 1 on 1 due to their counsel. I've dropped 2 sizes in clothing. I've felt ab muscles where I never knew they existed. I know what protein shakes are for the first time in my life. I've developed a different state of mind about health and exercise that will carry me for the rest of my life.
Bud told me on the day I decided to join Studio 1 on 1, "Mickey, this is the best decision you could have made. This will change your life." I left thinking, 'Sure Bud, I'm sure you say that to everyone'
Funny thing....Bud was right. And damn it if that doesn't make me want to clock him every time I see him.
Pros: Plenty of street parking close by
Cons: Next to a McDonalds so you want french fries when you're doing pull ups

This is hands down the best gym on the westside. I've trained at the old World gym on Abbot Kinney (RIP Joe), worked out at Gold's, Angel City (RIP) and even tried that grim hole in the marina. But this is the best place by far. It's clean, the equipment is new and quality (Life Fitness machines) and the staff is awesome. Bud and Mike are great guys and will hook you up with insane packages for the private training. This is a private training gym, yes - and worth every dime. I got in the best shape of my life with Eddie in 3 months. I wanted to work on athletic conditioning and endurance and ended up adding power and strength as well as speed. I'd recommend Eddie and Farley for intense athletic workouts but what is unique is that Scott, Mike and Alfredo are all excellent. Plus it's important to note, everyone is welcome here: athletes, old dudes, moms getting in shape, anybody, you name it. I tried the intro package to see if the trainers were any good and basically was hooked.
Pros: Very Friendly, Very Clean!!!
Cons: None

Thisis the best gym I've joined since coming to LA in 1990. 1 on 1 is the way to go and this staff a really good one. Look out for the receptionists, they'll eat you. :-)

personal one on one training with a team of handpicked employees.
the mood is friendly and NEVER overpacked.
a seperate cardio bar is located on the property and there is NEVER a wait.
i only have great things to say.
cheers.
Pros: Best workouts I have ever had
Cons: none

If you value privacy, professionalism, and a clean, positive environment, then Studio 1-on-1 is one of the best places on the west side to workout. The personal trainers are very knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend the B2TW workout. It's fun, challenging, and a great way to get fit in a short period of time.

I have trained with several personal trainers and centers and Studio 1-on-1 has been the most proactive in my results. The training staff has been integral in my overall health and performance. On a scale of one to ten - Studio 1-on-1 is an eleven!!
Pros: Best all around results
Cons: none

I have had a multitude of trainers over the last 15 years of my life. Starting in NY working with Bally's oh so generic trainers who don't know how to tailor personal training towards a person's specific goals and needs, to private facilities that while the trainer may have been go, the facility was cheap and lacking enough equipment and cardio, forcing me to get a gym membership for cardio and go to the facility for training. Not only was that frustrating and time consuming, but it was costly as well! Studio 1-on-1 is the perfect hybrid. It not only has a full personal training facility, but it also has a full cardio room as well! The facility is SPOTLESS, by far the cleanest I have ever seen and I have been to clubs like Sports Club LA and Meridian which are nice but there memberships and training sessions are through the roof! The towels are plentiful and always clean, the bathrooms are immaculate and the weight/cardio rooms shine! But most importantly, the trainers are what keep me coming back. They tailor your fitness plan based on your specific goals, taking into account areas where you need to improve and any injuries you may have. I have been going there for about 4 months now and I am so pleased with all that I have learned and the changes in my body. I came in with very little muscle in my upper body and abs and now I am able to do the exercises I used to struggle with with greater ease. BUT once I get comfortable doing anything, my trainer, Mike Fallon, always changes the routine to shake things up even more and push me to my ultimate limits! All of their clients feel the same way as I do. They also do Body Composition testing AND nutrition. You really get everything you need all in one place here!
Pros: Trainers, Clean, Cardio room, New equipment, private facility
Cons: NONE!

Two years ago Bud Fallon finally realized his dream after 17 years in in the business- owning his own training facility. I had the pleasure of watching it come together. Bud was obsessed with the details - making it the best and most beautiful training facility in Los Angeles. I've worked out in other "gyms" - places that are too big, too impersonal, and are more about selling memberships than in the welfare of their clients. In Studio-1-on-1, Bud would feel he failed if someone bought a long-term membership and then left. He wants clients to succeed, and to that end he has built a facility, and hired trainers, that all work together to achieve that goal. This is a great place to work out - and just be. It's personal, it's throrough, and it works. Come by and say hello. You'll want to stay.
Pros: The People, Facility,Equipment, plenty of free street parking
Cons: No more excuses

I'm something of an expert when it comes to working with personal trainers. I've been training for years and worked with trainers all over the country, yet I've never felt as at-home as I do at Studio 1-on-1. Bud Fallon has created a "fitness family" where I get a hug when I go in, and everyone knows my name. The trainers are very knowledgeable and I don't feel like some are good, and some are not-so-good (like the big gyms usually offer.) I work hard everytime I go in and the staff does a great job of motivating me...some days I walk in not feeling like working out, but I always get inspired and finish strong! Finally, I've made GREAT PROGRESS! I've always been in pretty good shape, but I'd never been able to lose the last 10-15 pounds that seem to be the hardest to drop. I'm happy to say that I'm down to my goal weight and I've been maintaining it for the past 3 months! Thanks Alfredo!
Pros: Great Evironment, Great Trainers, No Dickheads
Cons: The smell of french fries from the McDonald's next door :)

I just love the personal attention that I get at studio 1 on 1 ! The trainers are totally professsional and have a vast knowledge of nutrition and physiology. I have learned a l ot about how to take care of my body for optimal health and well being. I am in great shape and I don't feel like I have to deprive myself to maintain it. There is a very personal and intimate feeling in the gym as though you are the only one there and everyone is cheery and happy to be there. I highly recommend this gym for anyone and everyone. I have been training for most of my adult life and I have never had such a complete and enjoyable workout experience.
I bring my three teenage children here and they are well taken care of as well. Thank you studio 1 on 1 and Bud Fallon for this transformation !!!!!!!
Pros: well trained staff, beautiful facility, warm and inviting atmosphere!
Cons: none

I used to be a trainer in college and thought I knew everything about exercise. I pass this place every day on my way to work and last year decided to stop in and check it out. Best thing I have done in along time. The staff was extremely friendly but I never felt like I was being"sold" when I walked in. They showed me around and when I asked told me the different programs they offer. The equipment they have is top notch and the facility is extremely clean. I decided to give it a try and I have been here for over a year and have lost 18lbs and 7% bodyfat! I am in the same condition I was in College 10 years ago and I truly enjoy working out again. Give this place a try and get ready for a serious workout.
Pros: Staff is extremly knowledgable, equipment, atmosphere

IF YOUR INTERESTED IN LEARNING A VALUABLE ROUTINE TO KEEP YOU IN SHAPE FOR GOOD, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. I HAVE BEEN GOING TO STUDIO 1 ON 1 FOR JUST A LITTLE OVER A YEAR NOW, AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN MY BODY IN BETTER SHAPE, NOT EVEN BEFORE I HAD KIDS. THE TRAINERS REALLY HAVE GREAT PERSONALITIES AND EVERYONE SEEMS TO HAVE A FAMILY LIKE RELATIONSHIP WITH THE STAFF. EVERYONE IS WILLING TO HELP YOU LOOK AND FEEL YOUR BEST. AND BECAUSE OF THE FAMILIAR ENERGY ITS REALLY COMFORTABLE BEING PUSHED TO YOUR LIMITS. PLUS AS A MEMBER YOU HAVE FULL ACCESS TO THIER CARDIO EQUIPMENT, AND UNLIKE MOST GYMS I'VE BEEN TO, YOU ACTUALLY DON'T HAVE TO WAIT 20 MIN FOR SOMEONE TO BE OFF A MACHINE BECAUSE THERE ARE PLENTY AND ITS NEVER OVERCROWDED. I LOVE I!
Pros: THE STAFF, THE NEW EQUIPMENT, ITS NOT TOO CROWDED, AND ITS ALWAYS CLEAN...

I have never had better trainers in my life and I have probably trained with over 15 in the last 25 years. This place has got it right, not only excellent trainers but great environment for woring out with fantastc equipment. I have always liked the gym but I know LOVE my Gym and always look forward to my next workout. Check this place out.
Pros: Clean, Professional, Best Trainers, friendly people, easy parking

There are a lot of personal fitness places out there, but I call Studio 1-on-1 home. From the first time I walked in all the trainers made me fill comfortable and unashamed of being over weight. They made me feel like I could accomplish my goals that I have failed so many times before. I have been coming in Since October of 08 and lost 50lbs. This is mostly due to the can do atmosphere here. When you come in every one is upbeat and they make you feel like you are a part of their family. Many of my friends come in now because they see the results. I actually look forward to coming in and working out!!!!
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing

I've been coming to this gym for over two years and worked with different trainers- they were all really great and challenging. Even on days you do not feel like working out, you do and then leave with a high dose of energy. Personally reccommend to anyone who thrives on health living. Bud, the owner is a no nonsense kind of guy who gives it right to you and challenges you all the way- all his trainers follow the example.
Come and check it out yourself.
Pros: flexible, small, personal
Cons: none

Ok I will admit I am a bit of a fitnes junkie and have worked out at just about every facility west of lincoln from Santa Monica south to Playa del rey. That was until 3 months ago when I joined STUDIO 1-ON-1, this place is the real deal and this comes from someone that is very critical. If you have ever used a personal trainer you will Love this place, I insisted on trying a few of them when I started and all 3 that I trained with are excellent! I have never seen trainers that were not only knowledgable but so motivating and they all seem to love their jobs. The owner is always there and although I have yet to train with him I see him working with athletes and I think eventually I will give him a try. Seriously I have mde more progress in my fitness in the last 3 months then the previous 3 years! I love my new training facility.
Pros: Environment, staff, value and seriously the best workouts of my life!
Cons: none
