After four years at Penn State I cannot live without my Nittany Lions. When I can't make the trip down to Happy Valley I go to 925 Lounge along with all New York alumni. Great drink specials and tons of tvs to watch the game on and Joe's flame shots are AMAZING!!! Highly Recommended!!!

925 is definitely a better location for after-work drinks and socializing than most bars in Manhattan. The happy hour drink specials are great, and even after the happiest of all hours, they are still affordable.
The vibe is relaxed and mellow, with good background music to sway your hips to once you?ve had a few drinks! I'm glad I found this place.

Def worth checking out

If you've never checked out this little gem, you are definitely missing out. If for no other reason than to see the owner do his signature flaming drink tricks...it is definitely worth stopping into!! Great size bar to come with a few friends to throw back a few cold one's, catch a game, or to start...or end your night on the town. Gets a fun, down to earth crowd as well. I'd def recommend stopping in some time soon!

Best Sports Bar in NY

My buddies and I normally try a different bar every sunday and monday during football season and I must say since we've been to this bar we havent gone any where else. The ambiance is live, the drinks are great and the prices are fare....and should i mention the best bar food I've had in a long time. A must try !!!!

Best Bar in Midtown

Great Bartender. Great atmosphere. Usually there are some cute girls hanging out. Ideal place to get a drink with your friends. Doesn't feel like a midtown bar at all. The prices are reasonable and there is no snobby or fake vibe about the place. Definitely recommend it.

This place is great. We all come here all the time. The bartender is a lot of fun and is well worth getting to know. We go there and watch sports, especially Penn State games. The whole bar loves PSU and after every score the whole place celebrates. Very fun for other sports games too as they have great TV's. His flaming shots and cocktail drinks are awesome. This place is our favorite place to go to in NYC - it just feels like home.

Good place

I went there on a Thursday night and we had so much fun. I was with 5 girls and we kept saying to each other what a good time we were having. Not a pretentious atmosphere, just chill. And, they bartender does some really cool flaming bottle tricks.

This bar is awesome and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing time. It's a great atmosphere and the drinks are strong. There's nothing like going to 925 to throw back a cold one and the owner Joe says "This ones on me" and pours a shot of Jack. This is the type of treatment that's hard to come by in NYC. If anyone is Penn State alumni this is your place to be. GO LIONS!! Also, don't miss Joe's fire tricks because they're out of this world.

Great Drinks/Great Service

I discovered this bar a few months ago and everytime I go in, it gets better and better. The bartenders are great, make strong drinks, and are knowledgable about the city. I live in Philadelphia, but travel frequently for work and leisure to NYC. You can't beat the service in this place...the atmosphere is great for sporting events, especially PSU and NFL games.

been coming here since it opened. Fantastic service and drinks that aren't stingy, which is a breath of fresh air here in nyc. PSU games every sat during college football season are off the hook. The fish tank is a nice touch, def stands out. Nice happy hr scene plently of singles in the crowd. 5 stars

I've been going to this place for what seems like years (maybe it has), after stumbling across it one foggy night. The reasons I keep on back are simple; great drinks and great atmosphere. The proprietor, Joe, is friendly and knowledgeable. When the place is a little empty, ask him to do bar tricks involving alcohol and fire, and stand back!
It's also the best place to watch games, especially Penn State games, as there is a hearty Nittany Lion faithful that inhabit this place.

I am a regular at 925 and I don't even live in New York! The service is outstanding and the drinks are always mixed in favor of the customer. This is one place where you don't need to know the bartender to be treated right. You are always guaranteed that the best games will be on the TVs and you won't have to break your neck trying to see what's going on either. Although I like to go there to catch games, especially Penn State games, 925 is not a sports bar, it is an outstanding place to relax and mingle, a place with great service and good crowd control (which is key if you ask me). Go there, it's close to Grand Central.
