Drawing on a rich French and Southeast Asian heritage, Chateau de Saigon showcases a different side of Vietnamese cuisine - one that displays a blend of flavors and textures unique to the region and its roots. Time tested favorites are paired alongside unique regional specialties. Whether it be a more refined approach to a freshly caught seafood, or a more rustic clay pot creation, every dish features an elegant blend of traditional techniques without sacrificing any flavor. The lengthy menu features an array of favorites, from a lively mix of effervescent Cantonese entrees, to subtle and savory Vietnamese classics. There are a few things that make this restaurant so different. It's much larger and much more comfortably furnished than the average Vietnamese restaurant, the menu offers a variety of Chinese and Vietnames cuisine.
FANTASTIC!

My husband and I would go there every two weeks. And our servers Quyen and Linda, they were energetic and extremely nice. They helped us through the big menu. We order "Shaken Beef" small portion with salt, pepper, and lemon dipping sauce. We also order a wrap dish, "Bo La Loc" Lemongrass beef wrapped in a wild betal leaf then grilled. Basically you made your own spring rolls and it would take up all the spaces because it come with rice paper, lettuce, fruits sliced, vermicelli noodles, and the specialty dipping sauce dishes on the side. We had so much fun making our own spring rolls and we glad that our servers show us how to do it! We also try their salads. It was so good that we wanted to order for later. The beef Jerky Green Papaya Salad Fresh green papaya salad with delicious glazed beef jerky served with a sweet and tangy dressing. I just love the taste of the papaya and the dressing. I couldn't stop eating it. This place are very relaxing and affordable.
Pros: Great servers and very tasty food.
Cons: The menu is too big and I have to go back and try every dish

My lover and I came to this restaurant on a holiday. It was an exquisite surprise! I had a mango chicken dish that was so tasty and fresh. I will order the same thing next time I go. My partner chose a very spicy sea food dish and loved it as well.
Pros: Good sweet/salty dishes, nice ambiance, great servers...
Cons: none

Best Yet Vietnamese
by Adeste
The atmosphere is open, airy and nice, but we were there on a quest to find good traditional Vietnamese in Atlanta. Coming from Chicago I was spoiled with good Vietnamese. Atlanta has been a battle. Most of the restaurants are marginal at best. Nam is phenomenal for fine dining but pricey and we were looking for a "regular spot", that we can go to weekly.
The wait staff was very polite and intent on making sure we were satisfied. They were very knowledgeable and eager to recommend items. We had the Goi Con (spring rolls), Goi Ngo Sen Tom This (Shrimp & Pork Lotus Stem Salad) and Ca Kho To (Fish Clay Bowl). You can usually tell a good Vietnamese restaurant by their spring rolls. The spring rolls were excellent. Most importantly freshly made with crisp ingredients and great flavor. The Lotus stem salad was our favorite. I had never had this and it was really good, unique and traditional. It was crisp, the Lotus shoots were delicate and the fish sauce was nice and subtle and brought this dish together into a wonderful tasty balance that only a good Vietnamese restaurant can do. The fish clay bowl was really a single serving entree but it was actually plenty for two. The sauce was very savory and delicate and there was plenty of succulent seafood. The menu is huge but don't be shy. The wait staff is eager to recommend things and next time we go we will ask for our same waiter (Min) who was anxious for us to try many more regional favorites. You can also ask for more traditional fish sauce and extra spicy if you want the real deal which some novices may shy away from. I believe we have finally found our regular spot.
