I have used McClave many times in the past and even had my beloved cat put down at this facility. It is also an emergency clinic for after hours. They seems have many Vet trainees so you never get to see the same vet and so you hope you get a knowledgeable one. I have found that at each visit, the wait is extremely long, usually an hour. On my last visit, I took my German Shepherd there around 7:00 p.m. who could not stop vomiting. Even though there was only one patient checking out, I had to wait for over an hour to see a Vet. I was put in a room with my very sick dog who was moaning and vomiting every ten minutes and in lots of pain. I feared she had food poisoning or had something lodged in her intestine or worse bloat which is a frequent problem with Shepherds which is definitely a life and death situation. After waiting for over an hour, I was told that still another dog was coming in with an emergency and they would have to treat that dog first. All they had to do was to look at my dog to rule out bloat but they refused to. I asked where else I could take her for emergency care and they sent me to an Emergency hospital in Woodland Hills who took me right away. After this bad experience with their lack of caring and obvious lack of vets on duty, I will not go back if I can absolutely avoid it. Not impressed after being a past patient there.
