Amber serves up delicious Asian-fusion inspired dishes to New Yorkers and tourists alike. This Asian-inspired restaurant and lounge is located in North Gramercy in Manhattan. With great music and lively decor, this Asian restaurant has a relaxed, downtown feel. Amber offers a delicious menu with fresh Asian cuisine in a great ambiance. They have three floors and high ceilings for an overall unique experience. On the first floor, there is a large bar with two large flat screen TVs and open windows that allow for fun people-watching. In the main dining area on the second level there is a giant Buddha on the top of the Koi pond. The private room on the third level is warm and cozy with a view of Empire State Building. Amber is a great place for birthday parties, corporate events, or any kind of celebrations. Some of the options available to diners are fresh sushi, sashimi and more.

This is one of the best sushi places I have ever been to. All the staff is so nice and the food is amazing. Besides the fresh sushi, the Chilean Sea Bass skewers and rock shrimp apps. are amazing. I would highly recommend this!

So I was looking for a place to have my friend's 22nd birthday party. I tried to make a reservation at Tonic East which is two blocks from here, but they don't take reservations there. So we tried Amber and it was fantastic. They gave me the private room on the third floor to hang out.. which was perfect because more people arrived than we anticipated.
Everyone in the restaurant was eager to accomodate us and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. I'm no foodie, but I would say it's like a less pretentious Tao or Buddakan but in my neighborhood, and a lot cheaper.
