I was very pleased with the service and repair Lakeside Mercedes Repair did on my 2000 Mercedes ML 430 on July 28, 2009. I am from out of state visiting my son in Beaverton, the temperature outside was 105 degrees and my A/C was not working properly. I googled Mercedes repair, Portland, Or. and their web site popped up. I liked what I read, so gave them a call and was able to get in that day. I knew I would be at the mercy of wherever I was going to get the repair but did not expect the experience I had. The technician, Tom Havel, diagnosed the problem quickly, made the right repair and sent me on my way with minimum delay and at a charge I felt was reasonable. I would not hesitate having future repairs make at Lakeside Mercedes Repair.

This was great. I went in for an A maintenance and what I got was A+ service. From making it easy to schedule me in to no pressure customer service. The prices were great too. No they didn't wash and clean my car like Benz of Portland or Wilsonvile did but you know, I would rather get clean good maintenance service with reasonable prices and wash my own car than pay inflated costs. I just found my Mercedes care place. Thank you.

Took my Mercedes for an oil change and part of the oil change is to reset the computer, clock , etc so that the car can tell you when the next oil change is needed. Got my car back and the clock is all messed up. These people don't know how to reset the computer after an oil change. What a joke !!!
Don't take your car there.

I usually take my Mercedes Benz 2002 schedule A and B maintenance to Mercedes Benz of Wilsonville. I had a coupon to Lakeside Motors so I took it there for Schedule A service. I got the car back not washed, not vacuum, no chocolate, and 3 greasy finger print ( black all over the top and side ) They recommended I need a few things done to my car and decided to give them another chance. I thought the greasy oil finger print all over my roof, dashboard, and side was perhaps an oversight. I scheduled the suggested repair 2 weeks later and only to find out they did not repair the problem. My car is still squeeky with the same noisy after spending $400 and I acquired even more greasy finger frint oil spots all over the roof of my car, the leather seat and the side. It was so greasy and dirty that I had to take it to the detail shop to have all that removed and the problem of the squeeky noise I had to take it to the Mercedes Benz dealership. Lakeside customer service in terms of cleanliness is nonexistent and they diagnosed the problem on my car totally wrong.
This explains to me whenever I called I can always get my car in the same day and not only that every time I am there I am the only customer for the day.
If you want a dirty, greasy spot on your car roof, dashboard, and side of the car and a wrong diagnosis then Lakeside is your place to take your car but if you want your car back clean like when you took it there run away from this place. The savings in coupon is not worth it. It will cause you more money in the long run because you will have to take it to another repair shop to get the problem resolved.

I had a problem with my 2001 VW that I needed corrected before I could drive much farther. Lakeside was near my office and they were more than willing to take a look at the car and correct the problem if they could. This they did quickly and professionally. Given this abbreviated sample of their service, I would recommend them to anyone who needs their Benz serviced. I just wish they worked on VW's, as I'd be a customer for life. Thanks guys!

For years I have been paying high price for my Mercedes repairs at the dealership, it is such a pleasant experience to have my car done at Lakeside Motors this time.
The quality of the repair service is just as supreme except my repair bill doesn't have to pay for the luxury facilities and the Espresso I don't even drink.
The technicians at Lakeside Motors are knowledgable and reliable. Owner Mark Gobel is a very honest, friendly, and helpful guy. He has done above and beyond to meet my need.
I cannot ask for a more trustful auto mechanic shop to fix my vehicle.

Pros: You feel like doing business with your own family member.

Cons: Have not found one yet.

I can say for the first time that i Highly recommend an auto repair shop. I took my wifes E-320 to Lakeside for a problem with the A/C, they called a couple of hours later and were able to explain the problem in a way I could understand, told me how much it would cost to fix it and when it would be done, i thought their price was a little high so I called the dealer i saved almost $100!!!! The empitome of why they have been in business so long.

Pros: Honest, reliable, they care, you aren't just a customer

Cons: These guys do a lot of work call ahead!

These guys are so great!
While on my way to work I got a flat tire, out of nowhere, a good samaritian stopped by to offer help.
As it turns out, my good samaritan was Gary, one of the technicians at Lake Side motors.
He changed my tire right there on the side of the road, and had me follow him back to the shop in Tigard to check the other tires and add air!
I felt completely at ease, and was very pleased with a simple outcome to a potentially bad situation.
Highly recommended!
As soon as my service light comes on, I know where Im going!
